Car has been in rebuild mode for the past 2 years and I have been able to get it back on the road in the last month or so. I had actually forgot about this sitaution. Went to start the car on Saturday and it was dead. Put the charger on 2amp charge overnight and still dead. This is the 3rd...

Both front tires cupping on inside, why?

Good point, I did not think of that. Best way to check is to simply have someone turn the wheel while the car is on the ground and stationary, and look to see if there is any movement in the rack bushings and/or other steering components?

Both front tires cupping on inside, why?

Thanks for the input guys. Do the LCA and/or any other suspension bushings go bad with age or mileage ususally? The car is a '91 with approx 91k miles on it.

Both front tires cupping on inside, why?

Kind of hard to capture with my limited photo skills. The light, dirty areas are the high spots. Both tires exhibit the same wear pattern on the inside of the tire

New car, new project. Asking for advice on my build.

Mainly curious, I have the same turbo. If it is cast with the HKS on the bottom of the exhaust housing and has the threaded port for an egt, it is one of the old school HKS bolt on sport turbos. Based upon all the other HKS goodies, I will bet it is. From what I understand they are getting hard...

Both front tires cupping on inside, why?

Car has been in rebuild mode for the past 2+ years, so maybe only >500 miles in that time frame. Do not have specs anymore but nothing has been done since alignment except sit idle and have motor rebuilt. The car is simply street driven hard on weekends only. Mainly straight line hard...

    Won't Idle After Rebuild

Did you have a valve job done? On my 1st rebuild the machine shop did not get one of the valve keepers seated properly and a valve was hanging open. Run a compression test to make sure all of the valves are sealing properly.

Both front tires cupping on inside, why?

Car just passed state inspection this week with no issues found with ball joints, wheel bearings, or suspension in general. So, what is generally the cause for both front tires to cup on the inside edges? Alignment has been verified per oem specs. Car is lowered on ST springs with Tokico...

Installed lines today, they are completely plug and play. No modifications required. All of the fittings are stainless steel and the stainless steel brand cover is available in your choice of a number of transparent or solid colors. They are much better quality than the leaking pos sst lines...

Try allelectronics.com. They had the 9pin connector I needed to match the HKS VPC.

Is this a good first car?

IMHO and being an owner of both, Would recommend a subaru as being the ideal 1st car. They are safe, reliable, & relatively easy and cheap to mod.
