Alright, I've been looking through this thread for hours now and I'm not any further with wheel fitment than I was when I started. Might be because I'm being way more picky.
I'll be installing Tokico Illuminas and using the TEMS system as well as some lowering springs. 1.5-2.0" drop. I...
LMAO! Wow, I'm dying over here. And here I thought my POS looked bad. Did anyone notice that in the middle pic of the black Stupra there is an AutoZone across the street? Maybe that explains it. :evil2:
Well, it's been a while since I posted so it's about time for an update.
I had the car running for a while and got more work done on it. Ended up blowing the head gasket, geeeeee I didn't see that coming j/k. So I have it all pulled apart at the moment and doing a once over and slowly getting...
Upon inspection of the fuse panel I couldn't find anything physically wrong with it. I noticed that it has a relay integration brain on the back and decided to just swap out the panel and relay integration. Well, let's just say that the spark issue has been well taken care of. I have also...
Attention to the EFI is exactly what I have done. I managed to get power pack to the computer and spark along with it. In my searching for the problem in the system, I encountered an issue with the fuse panel on the driver side under the dash. When checking for voltage at the IGN fuse (the 7.5...
Well, another week has gone by and still no spark. :3d_frown:
I'll do a recap for anyone just coming in on this post. I have no spark for my 7M-GE in an 87 Supra which had the 7M-GTE but had everything swapped from the NA car. The NA car was in an accident 2 months ago but was still running...
Haven't pulled codes yet but not sure if there will be any because the computer has not experienced the problem while running. Which in most cases the car normally has to start and run for like 10 seconds before any codes will be stored by a diagnostics system. I will still be giving it a try...
Ok, the coil checks out (ohms are good), the distributor checks out (ohms are good). I've checked for wiring breaks to the igniter and I have good harness wires there (the IGT, IGF, E1, and of course the 12v pos from the Ignition switch). I'm in the process of checking the distributor harness...
I have now made a closer check of the green plugs. They are in working order with tight connections. I have also changed out the IGN and EFI fuses to make sure that wasn't it.
I keep thinking that it's something simple but can't put my finger on it.
This is the donor shell I picked up for my motor and tranny. It still needs quite a bit of work but it's clean for the most part. I just need to get it running for stage one to be complete.
Hi, my name is Rob and have just come into the Supra scene two months ago. I live in Wisconsin and love tinkering with my cars. I purchased an 86.5 Mark III NA Supra which I fell in love with. Had the car for a month and got rear ended which has caused me to purchase a second one. My second one...
I don't know if anyone here has done this or not and I might even get made fun of for doing it but oh well. My first Supra was NA with the 7M-GE but was wrecked in an accident but the car ran beautiful. I managed to find a clean donor shell close by which needed a heart transplant. The problem...
