I finally got my car runnin good....im having some boost problems...when i boost my intercooler pipes pop off they are the cheap ebay 2.5 kit...i have them all tightened well. with t-bolt clamps. my pipes arnt flanged and they dont have any kind of lip on them....what should i do? get new...

you could try using a high milage oil like mobil 1 fully synthetic high milage...it has some additives in it that actually swell the seals that are leaking...it wont stop leaking but it will slow it down...the only way to stop a leak is to fix it like jdub said....and you can not rely on any...
thats not a ae86....a real ae86 is a gts...thats an sr5....you have to change the rear suspension...differential transmission and motor to make it a real ae86....i strongly dissagree with putting in a 7m on a car with an origanal 4age but this is not an origanol 4age car....do what you want with...
i got mine runnin good...it was my fault the whole time i think...and buy cheap spark plugs...no point in wasting money on good ones unless you got good wires and /or coil. my autolites are workin great now...
got it done!!! cars running great.i followed the tsrm exactly i think i fuct up unplugin the t e1 thingy but its runnin good... i went for a 20 min drive and came home with no problems with timing!!! thanks guys...now for my ten million other problems...lol:)

ok its not the valve timing its the spark timing...that is what a light is for......i just got a new one so when it gets a little darker out ill use it i know the belt is tight and it is in time. but can spark timing knock off valve timing? i dont think so but anyways...im gonna try again with...
ya valve timing is good but its like its moving the cps i think its maby cause i put it in with the adjuster pointed down a litlle... i dono i got another cps i think im gonna try that too, but im on the way to go get as timing light now...if its not rainin when i get back ill try again

ok i have set my timing like 10 times now...it wont get right...i am seting the motor at tdc and putting in the cam sensor with the hole lined up with the groove. it runs ok when i do that but then i fine tune it with my ear...(timing lights broke?wont work ? somethin?) but it seems to run...
im gonna buy a new timing light today and get new plugs and try it out.......i know all the basics i just hate dealing with electrical work and timing...but it will come together soon enough...gotta have patiance i guess
