Could also be a bad turbo. I had light smoke recently and pulled my turbo and sure nuff my seals are bad leaking oil into my turbine housing and my engine checked out fine. But yeah I agree do more test go to autozone or any parts store buy a carbon tester, for the blown head gasket. Looks kinda...
That's exactly right
All fluids are engineered and only last so long for instance. The water and coolant are mixed together 50/50 but over time just sitting the two different fluids will start to separate from each other water on bottom and coolant will raise to the top. I mean you're gonna...
My supra sat for 2.5 years before I had money to start my project and I went with the Toyota supra manual. Like Ij said put it on jack stands but I put mine on the frame not the control arms and took off the tire and drain ALL fluids and don't set the ebrake. Of course keep brake fluid. I didn't...
Yeah take a pic. If you have the gray plugs on your ecu, which you should, it isn't gonna be the correct ecu or engine harness for the yellow plugs ecu that belonged in that chassis. But ten again if your engine fired right up I wouldn't worry about it
Just an update. I still could not find the wire and or wired I was missing on my m/t harness. So I went ahead with the 12v circuit with a relay used ignition switch to turn it on. Anyways it fired right up and now my supra, that hasn't ran in 3 years, is up and running!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the info but ive done all these tests before and nothing. Not even when I use my jumper. I was reading another forum a long time ago and this guy said its useless to use the manual trans ecu and harness cause it's missing one or two wire to the open relay for the fuel pump. So what...
Yes well he didn't write .050 he wrote .50 in which case, and I'm just assuming, he meant .50mm over cause .050 would be inches. So good point you have there and makes me want to ask. Is it mm or inches over lol?
Since no one is giving me any info on this wiring issue I have decided to do a 12v relay and fuse set up and splice into my ignition switch for turning the pump on.
So my new question before I do this tomorrow is... Since I will not be using the ecu for the pump and the ecu won't know if it's...
So first off I have been all over these fourms and the only thing that I see and keeps popping up is that ppl who do 5 speed swaps into auto cars keep the auto ecu and harness. Which I did not do I have the manual ecu and harness in my auto chassis 88 supra turbo all correct year with matching...
22= coolant temp sensor, 24= intake air temp sensor, 51= air conditioner switch or neutral start switch signal, and yes 52= is your knock sensor. Got these form my tsrm.
The stock recirculater valve (or what most ppl call stock bov) could be stuck open and shooting your boost right back into your inlet tube. Take it off and and put a flash light to one end there should be no light coming threw or put your mouth to one end make sure there no air and push it with...
Install spring towards block and there should be a little hole on the wide flat part of the thermostat and that hole ALWAYS faces upward ;) to allow the air bubbles to be bleed out. Did you check your timing, cams and crank at tdc ( top dead center) make sure that they are aligning correctly.
