This may not be an option on many aftermarket gauges though after looking into it, even with a standard rheostat dimmer, because most LED drive circuits now use a voltage/current limiting device which drives the LED illumination at 2 set rates - and this will not alter with a rheostat or...
Thanks guys for the input.

Can anyone else confirm this would work?
Im pretty sure the gauge only uses power for the light.
Are you saying I should solder both red and orange to the same light source? for example where the orange wire is soldered currently? to...
Thanks!
Ive just had a nasty little feeling, that maybe this gauge is lit all of the time?
Being a smoked gauge and all of that? :naughty:
It is only coming on when the ignition is turned on..... So thinking on to past ones, maybe it is always lit no matter what?!
time for a new gauge i...
ok guys.
I removed the stock boost gauge and have installed an Autogauge one in its place (after some customising of course)
Anyway, ive installed this exact gauge (autogauge smoked gauge with 3 wires) on 2 cars before and it was easy.
But Im getting a problem with this one...
SO will the stock motor hold a GT 35/40R with metal HG, ARP head studs and a MAFt pro with a good tune (and all the other bits needed like fuel/injection etc)
550rwhp+ I would guess from this turbo? It seems a good condition stock motor might be up to the task?

Just tried opening the 7m weight reduction .xls
It contains a 404 not found error :( ... so yes it does prompt you for a file download. But the file is missing.
Does anyone have this they could re-upload somewhere please? and please post the link//
Thanks

8 second passes at 170+ mph iirc.....with GREAT 60ft times.
Autos make fast times easier...but its still possible to run fast times with a...

On to your CT26's.... what is the biggest CT26 upgrade you can do please?

Thanks guys :)
appreciate it.
Slightly off topic and in the wrong place....but has anyone managed to fit the largest of the XS power style intercoolers to a Mk3??
as I have one in my garage and am hoping to use it and then get some hard pipes made up during the engine build.. :biglaugh...
Thanks Clied :biglaugh:
I'm going to have a hard job keeping my head inside the hard top at this rate because its growing so fast from all these compliments about my car!! :icon_bigg
Seriously though, its great to get some appreciation from fellow Mk3 fanatics :naughty:
Thanks Guys.
