    oil temp sensor location

500rwhp + on a pretty aggressive (leanish) tune. makes for lots of heat. does anyone have any experience running oil temp guages in different places? if i use the stock sender location i would figure thats kinda middle of the road, its post cooler and part way through its cycle through the...

i already have a pressure guage in the return line coming back from my cooler is the stock pressure sensor location a better spot for oil temp then where i have it coming out of the engine?

twin td05-16g's - how to compare compressor maps to a large single?

well these are trust turbos, now i dunno if they actually do anything different to the turbo or if its just a plain old 16g with the trust name on it, but i guess ill find out soon once i sell my mr2 and get some money for dyno time and see how far i can push them

twin td05-16g's - how to compare compressor maps to a large single?

well i like the power i have now, i want to stay in the neighborhood of 500-550ish rwhp, but id like to get boost before 4500rpm if at all possible lol. so if i can keep my same peak power but pickup some spool, that would be my ultimate goal, which is why i was asking about comparing compressor...

twin td05-16g's - how to compare compressor maps to a large single?

well the hope was a newer design dual ball bearing turbo would help me spool these things faster the car barely moves until you hit 4k, and doesnt really take off till 4500, around the city i almost never hit boost, by the time im making boost im breaking the speed limit by so much its not worth...

twin td05-16g's - how to compare compressor maps to a large single?

so my car currently has twin trust td05-16'gs on it the td05-16g compressor map looks like this now i dont know what, if any, the difference between a regular td05 and a trust td05 is, but assuming that map is the same, how would i go about finding a large single that would flow a...

    wilwood big brakes

ya ill try the clay thing, and sorry for not going to you first, I didnt want it to sound like i was complaing about the kit becuase its a sweet setup , im well aware of the fact that its the design of the spokes of my wheels which is the problem (which is why i have new wheels on the way) i was...

    wilwood big brakes

ya i got them installed just like the install instructions, fasters in the same order etc. my measurements arent exactly percise, they were from the round part on the back of the caliper on each piston to the spoke of the wheel, that is the part where it gets closest. I'll have to take some...

    wilwood big brakes

slow speeds with the brakes not even warmed up yet brackets are aluminum i think, its the arizona performance big brake kit, and i havent heard of anyne else complaining of anything like this though so im leaning towards it being my wheels

    wilwood big brakes

wheel bearings are brand new, theres no play in the bearings. ive seen skyline brakes on s13's with barely any clearance at all, like 1mm away from spokes and they run with no issues, so 4mm seems like a lot of clearance , thats quite a bit of flex for wheel and brake components to have is...

    wilwood big brakes

they are hitting because the noise was not there with my stock brakes, and i can see the mark on the inside of the wheel spokes where it hit.

    wilwood big brakes

so after install my big brakes, they didnt clear my current wheels, so i went and added some longer wheel studs and spacers to make it all fit, now i have about 4 mm clearance between my wheels and calipers, which is find rolling around, but under braking, they hit. the wheel and caliper are...

    Quick brake question.

and always flush out your brake system by putting new fluid in the top and bleeding it all the way through (or if your running alcohol through first do that) but never drain the system and then try and refill it, its bad for seals and pistons and stuff and its a huge pain to bleed after as well.

changing wheel bearings, axle hub lock nut size?

changing my wheel bearings, realized i dont have a socket anywhere near big enough for that nut, has anyone changed them before that can tell me how big that socket is? 1-3/8 is just barely to small so its gotta be either 35mm or 36mm , just looking to confirm before i start calling...

ya the lines are all plumbed properly, i guess ill just have relocate my sensor. my filter is currently K&N, although it looks like the autovalue by my house just started carrying WIX stuff, so ill probably switch to that next oil change.

    oil temp/pressure question

ok so i installed my cooler, and my oil pressure seems to have gone up quite a bit, i seem to have way to much oil pressure now originally i just installed a sandwhich plate with my oil temp and pressure guages in it. now i relocated my oil filter as well as ran an inline thermstat and an oil...
