Why do you need more angle? How many events have you done and do you think you fully utilized the angle you have? There is no point in getting more angle as a crutch to learn on. Learn on stock angle, then upgrade.
The stance angle kit is no longer offered for MKIII btw. You can get AE86...
Hey OP, GREAT build. I'm not a fan of the color but to each his own.
Out of curiosity what are you doing to help the car perform as a drift car besides building the engine? Have you taken the car to any track days yet? If you have any setup questions I'd be happy to help.
Tein SS is going to be too soft for drifting. I suggest going with Stance.
KAAZ 2 way is deff a good option, it is what I have been running for the past 4 years or so.
Your mod order should be: coilovers, diff, seat, steering wheel, wheels/tires
The 240 will "fit", but it is too big and will jam itself inside of the handle when you push it in. So it works if you don't ever want to be able to lock your ebrake in the up position.
From earlier this year
I should take some pictures of the underbody. Bolt heads shaved off, sheet metal ripped in half, a ring around my axles where they occasionally contact the subframe, and my downpipe is a perfect D shape. <3 shooting sparks though
I roll around with my tires like this / \ and have no QUICKER wear then if they were like this | |
Again. Added camber will increase tire wear on the inside relative to the outside. However, the overal tire wear will be exactly the same as if you had 0* of camber. Basically your wearing...
I just want to add, listen to Wisass. He built my setup (the 1300 and 700 lbs springs) and they are still performing fantastic. The thing rides amazing on the street, and performs even better on the track. Super happy with whatever he did!
It's really mind blowing the ride quality given...
camber doesn't wear tires
toe wears tires
camber + toe gives the appearance that camber is wearing on your tire.
Get your toe in spec and you will get the same mileage out of the tire as you would with 1* of camber. Although you will have more wear on the inside...it will be the same...
Whats wrong with 3* of camber? That should be fine for daily use
bumpsteer is not due to your lower control arm angle, it's due to the angle your tie rod makes with the ground...which is a function of the height of the steering rack and the location of the steering pickup point on the...
Your a god damn fucking idiot, and if this is how you setup up your coilovers than they must perform terribly. I feel bad for anyone that purchases budget coilovers from a vendor who believes "stiff and low" is all that matters for drifting.
FYI, you actually want suspension travel...
Well now you are stating things to refute what I said with "I think" and "I'm pretty sure". This is how rumors spread on the internet. I work with BMW guys all day, and they can be just as cheap as import guys. They than come back a few months later trying to get warranty replacements because...
