Well, all my coil electrical connectors were pretty crappy so we adapted some other plugs off of a toyota car, (I think they were from a prius). But we depinned the 1j ones and threw these on because they plugged right in to the 1j coils. Maybe these have something to do with it not firing...

And all these wires are only like 18guage at the most so wouldn't the 40amp fuse be way too big for that size of a wire?

Now I am a noob at wiring but can I find a wire that already runs through the necessary size fuse and splice it in? Well I would drive the car and after a bit all my electronics would slowly die out and then the car starts sputtering and not running. But I don't remember if the battery light came on.

Is it ok to just splice other wires into the alt plug wires to give them the correct volts or will that mess up how the alternator functions?
