Yeah i had priced polishing work from a couple peops (not on here I should have checked first)... wasn't that it was unaffordably expensive, I actually had all the 'funds' lined up with the wifee (ever wonder why it is that you need someone elses permission to spend your own money? :sarcasm:)...
Thank you,
The spark plug cover and cam gear cover are both made from dry carbon fiber... honestly it doesn't look as nice and shiny as the more common "wet" carbon fiber, but its actually more expensive to manufacture and stronger/stiffer/lighter than wet carbon fiber. Not that it really...
thanks,
I don't know all the specifis on the turbo inducer/exducers and trims/whatnot... but seller indicated it was a Precision SC6176S.
I think that reads that the compressor is 61mm and the turbine is 76mm... It reads .70ar on the compressor housing. I believe its similar in size...
Thank you! for the money i've spent I really think i got good bang for the buck in terms of cleaning up the engine.
As for the ADR's, I think these were great bang for the buck too. About as cheap as you'll find 18inch with a staggered deep dish. They aren't rediculously heavy either like...
paint matched or polished, still looks good either way...
I like the "bride" seats... had me fooled until I read the comment with the pics. The color of them is perfect for the car. Is the bride emblem just stitched on or something?
yeah wow this car looks insanely wild.
Formerly I didn't think much of widebody kits, hadn't seen pics of many done very well.
This kit looks 100% natural, like it belongs on the car... Freakin' awesome look.... I also REALLY like the hood cowl... very subtle; but still very...
That's a bummer to go thru all that hard work for naught..... I wouldn't blame ya if you threw in the towel on it altogether.
Hopefully you'll have better luck with the JZ... I've been very happy with 2JZ swapped MKIII and was already in when I bought it; reliable so far.
You have a...
thanks guys!!! :)
Very first pic hosted is the engine bay when I bought it... Luckily for me Drew had most of the HARD stuff done already when I bought it (the swap and shell paint).
I just prettied it up. In terms of going for more power... That was going to be my first priority...
Well thought its about time I post up some pics...
I bought this car from a forum member September 2007; it is a N.C. car that was in average shape when he picked it up (i think it was just sitting on a lot somewhere, was faded and rough around the edges but over all in solid shape).
He...
Looks awesome...
But why not leave the shiny valvle covers/spark plug covers polished and unpainted; to match the turbo and whatnot?
Still it looks MEAN :evil2:
sorry to be repetitive, I know this info is in here somewhere.... I simply cannot find it.
I'm searching the 2jz gte forum and the forums in general, but the word "cut" is too short and it won't look for it.
I didn't find what I was looking for under "fuel defense" search.
I'm trying...
ok not going to try the 19's....
How bout this setup...
Eibach lowering springs and Tokico blues
Front: +20mm offest 18 x 8.5 with 245/40 tires.
Rear: +25mm offset 18 x 9.5 with 275/35 tires.
I'm guessing it would rub excessively due to the wheels sticking out too...
wow, ok - well that would make sense why i'm getting the measurements i am... huh.
guess i never really bought rims and measured them before having tires mounted before.
So then 9.5inch rear with a 275 will look pretty flush (rim edge vs tirewall) then, no
ok i checked a week or so ago and someone provided a link with pics of 19's on Supraforums. thanks.
But now my rims showed up and they sent me the wrong sizes...
Ordered 19 x 8.5 and 9.5's with 35 offset. Intended on 235/35 and 275/30's.
But showed up is 19x10.5 and 19x9.5. :1zhelp...
sorry if this is repetitive, but search for '19 inch wheels' produces nothing. Is it possible, on a '88 turbo, with H&R springs and Tokico blues, a 19x9.5 inch wheel in rear, 19x8.5 inch in front.
Naturally I'd use whatever tire size necessary. Its going to need to be a rubberband pretty...
Ok,
I searched and read up in this thread a bit, http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13791&highlight=COLLECTIBLE
But I want to be sure of this --- 1988 Supra Turbo does qualify as a "Collectors Vehicle" ?
Does anyone know if it appears in the "New Complete Book of...
