i did what k20 did and it dies after about a minute.. but in that time the afr was way low at around 10, and i now have white smoke out of the exhaust and my manifold is so hot its turning red and smoking too.. So potentially a bhg even though its a mhg and been retorqued among other things that...
I know I've posted about this before, but a around a month ago I was driving around and when I put the car in neutral the rpm's fell down past idle all the way to 0, the battery light came on, and the car completely shut off when I was still going about 40mph. Since then, its done it a couple...
I have a GTE and I dont have the stock fan, I have one from autozone that runs from a relay that turns on at 185 degrees. It is running strong. I dont have a thermostat and my radiator is less than 6 months old. I recently changed the upper radiator hose because air was leaking in to it and I...
Hey guys,
I travel from Orlando to Tampa and back every weekend and every time I get off the exit ramp, the engine starts to overheat immediately and I have to pull over and shut it off. But then after letting it cool down for 20 minutes, I am able to drive off and it wont overheat again...
I just found out why mine was making the same noise as yours. As poodles was saying, check the 4 bolts where the manifold connects to the turbo. the top 2 are easy to get to and are easy to see and reach, but the bottom two are not. Check those and see if they are tight. Even being just a little...
If you're looking to be around 350rwhp you dont need an afpr. I would just say 550s, upgraded fuel pump, and you already have the huge turbo. You might need a fuel cut defender too since fuel cut is usually around 12psi and might even be less with that big of a turbo.
It smells like an overheating engine and the engine bay is a lot hotter than usual. I cant even touch the radiator for a split second even after the car is turned off for 15 minutes
I recently installed a bigger turbo (ct 60 trim) and I have been experiencing overheating problems which I never had before with the stock turbo. After driving around for 20-30 minutes, the engine bay gets extremely hot, especially being here in Florida. However, the temp gauge is dead in the...
Thats what make me nervous. But if it didnt make the noise before I adjusted the screw on the exhaust, then why would it all of a sudden be bad? It still spools up to around 7psi and holds well
Yeah just the stock manifold. And I think your right, the gasket under there was a little sketchy to begin with. And what do you mean by using a bigger hose to my ear?
Yeah my 60 trim is almost the same size, its just the manifold that is a little bigger that was left on the 60 trim when i put it in. Its not that big of a difference but the downpipe and exhaust dont sit exactly as they should.
I installed a 60 trim ct 26 but I installed it about a month ago with no whining. The downpipe is stock and the exhaust was custom welded. I really think its the exhaust because of how the downpipe fits the exhaust because the 60 trim is bigger.
