^^^^ I just read that in some other forums while trying to find a solution. But 99% of the problems people are having are not having heat. When my heat works great. Ill definitely try this out though. ((And damn youre not kidding when you say expensive for what it is)) :aigo:
Mine is always up no matter what I do with the climate control or if the car is on or off. The only way I get the valve to close (or go down) is to disconnect the vacuum line. It seems to hold the pressure even after the car is off until I disconnect it.
I had trouble starting my car once only to find out that it was the [stock]alarm system immobilizing the engine. I had to literally lock and unlock my car with the key 3-4 times, then get in and start it. Started right up.
LOL^
But I took a look at the vsv after a little more research on it last night and have confirmed that its most likely broken. Since no matter what I do with my climate control it stays in one position.
It may have went sometime between when I had my system recharged and when I started...
I mean I got away with a steal. 92 n/a for $2500. Only needed to do rear brake lines, all the rotors, and the 2 power steering hoses. Other then that my rocker panels are rusted out but everything else is working perfectly (Knock on wood). 112k 5 speed, sunroof, leather, all the options (except...
Well thats the thing. I need to check to see if the valve closes when I have the ac on and it set at 65. But even with the system on recirculate Im still getting hot air blowing in. Less then if the system was on fresh air, but still enough to make the cabin quite uncomfortable.
So maybe the solenoid is stuck open? Because the amount of heat coming out of the vents with the fans off is pretty substantial. Now Im also wondering if this has to do with why my a/c hasnt been as cold as it was a few weeks ago. Maybe the heat is still slightly on. HMMM. Ill investigate more...
Alright so I really am not sure whats going on here. It seems as though my car is blowing heat out of the vents while I am driving even if the fans are off. It seems to be less noticeable when I put the system on circulate. Not sure if maybe air is being forced through the system? Wouldnt even...
Shouldve done this back when I joined but better late then never!
So hi, Im Ryan Goodwin from Long Island, NY!
I own a Red 1992 5-speed 7MGE Hardtop (W/sunroof) Supra. Its my first ever Supra and I am quite in love with it! Ive heard 92s are pretty rare! The only problems Ive had to deal...
Well I recharged my A/C a week or two ago at my shop and it seems to have gotten quite less cold in the time thats passed. So either the 95+ degree, 100%+ humid weather has to do with that or I have a leak somewhere...
Wow! That is! But is that the line that goes to the caliper from the hardline. Or the hard line that runs from where it splits between left and right (rear) Ive searched and only seem to find the flexible tube part by the actual caliper. Sorry for the not very helpful lingo....
Well... how cheap are they if theyre directly from Toyota? Only because anything else from them seems to be stupidly expensive. Though I can look around for people parting out or selling supras... Only thing is theyre arent many by me to begin with. :(
So I looked through the forum and interwebs for an answer but came up empty :( I need to replace the hard brake lines in my supra. Is it possible to buy or find them somewhere pre-fitted?? (OE bends I mean.. idk if im using the right terms) Or am i just going to have to buy the lines and bend...
