EGR? im not sure what that stands for, and i dont think that if the exhaust manifold was leaking that it would be pushing the exhause up between the firewall and cam cover.... but mabey this EGR thing?
ok i think i may have possibly pin pointed where the exhause leak is coming from...... behind the left(turbo side) cam cover? there is a strong steady stream of what seems like exhause coming from between just under the cam cover and the firewall.... what could possibly leaking exhaust back there?
i dont really smell anything in the cab while driving but when i rev the engine i think i can smell it in the engine compartment.. the only weird thing is everything seems tight.
i just took my 88t out for a drive and all of a sudden i get a weird whine sound (kind of like a BOV) whenever i start to accelerate that ive never heard before... so i turn around and then all of a sudden i start to get the sound of an old trucks exhaust... i have absolutly no clue what just...

ok i have finally read all of your comments and i am still in need of retourqing the headbolts since it has been about 500 miles.... is it safe to swap the stock bolts 1 by 1 for some thing of arp? and which should i use, arp head studs or head bolts? thanks
i just recently replaced my stock headgasket when replacing the cylinder head on my 88-t and i used all stock hardware and the gasket is the stock type one (no metal headgasket or arp studs or anything) and i am wondering what is safe as for amount of boost and types of mods i should do to it...
well i called the number to get the green bushing and whatnot but it says that the number cant be reached from my calling area... im from canada. does anyone know where else i can get these parts in preferably canada (if not in canada where else).

i did the exact same thing on my 88t... cost me 129$can. straight from toyota but no where else could get them in so that was my only option. As for the installation its not very hard at all, only took about 30mins to get it all back together.
