i have noticed lately that my idle seems to be kind of low (600rpm's). I have heard that idle should be higher more like 700 rpm's. is this true? what could cause this low idle and what should i look for? is having a lower idle bad?

ok, ever since i have been on these boards i have read alot of arguments on how much and what type of oil is best to be used in our (stock internals) 7MGTE engines.
So lets settle this once and for all. Is it absolutly safe to put in the TSRM 4.4 litres in for an oil change or do u need more...
i am planning on getting a full, turbo-back exhaust system put on in the very near future once i start working again (just installed K&N fipk) and i am wondering which route to go when buying an exhaust system(cat back). Would it be cheaper to just go to my local muffler shop and get them to...
take x amount of washers (usually3-4) and put them on between the 2 bolts and the wastegate plate thing and your done. the benefits of this are your turbo will put out more boost meaning u get more power... dont put 2 many washers on at once or u may wreck somthing. A disadvantage would be the...
check your egr plate on the back of the engine... if the seal is blown u will be able to feel exhaust coming from behind the left cam cover (when looking at the enging from the front of the car)... thats the exact same thing my car was doing and thats what it turned out to be.
exactly what the title says... my 88turbo usually idles at about 600-700rpms when its all warmed up and then i just noticed that when i turn on the lights while sitting at idle my rpms drop to about 500 when the lights first go up and then the rpms slowly rise back to normal. is it normal for...
haha ya i kinda got speed shifting and power shifting messed up but ya he just started out in 1st and put it to the floor and then i think at about 6000rpms he would bump it up a gear
so far actual close races that ive only won by about a car length or 2 are: my friends 98 honda accord auto v6... those cars hook up very quick and he was speed shifting it and my other friends 95 - 98 manual sunfire gt with intake and exhaust... he stayed with my rear bumper until i shifted...
i have read on BIC's website that with his downpipe the stock CT-26 turbo will be making 13psi.... sounds awsome but what does that mean in terms of fuel cut and likliness of a blown headgasket (replaced oem gasket with tourqued at just over 60lbs) can i still run this downpipe or will i end up...
ya i have been thinking about talking to becauseican but i havnt been here long enough to really hear much about him.... no offense to him or anyone else but i am also wondering if he always comes through with the quality and delivery of his product, and how much are his pipes?
i am looking at soon buying a downpipe and testpipe for my 88 turbo but i am not sure what downpipe is best for the money and how important is it to replace/remove the stock turbo elbow? i have also heard that taking out cats can cause the engine to run different due to the different back...
how do i do it? where should i look? what should i hear? etc. I am just trying to make sure my car is performing as good as possible before i start putting money into performance parts.
could possibly be caused by your gas sloshing around in the tank and then your engine is getting a bit of air in with the gas... that will definatly cause some bogging.
i am looking at buying many products for my supra but where i live (regina, sask) there is not many auto performance shops... so i have to order online. So far i have only really been able to find www.suprastore.com that seems like a good site with fair prices. Has anyone had any experiences...
