I am putting my supra back together, when i bought it, it was in a million pieces so i am not sure where everything goes. The build is going good so far. My question is under the fuse box in the engine bay I noticed 2 black plugs coming from (underish) the fuse box both plugs have 2 decent sized...
Yea i thought bout moly rings also, Just wanted some input on what people use on there own rides. Ima be runnin a stock bottom end, MHG, 10-15 psi depends how the motor acts, nothing crazy.
Well I am debating on what type of rings to go with, I know iron rings provide a better seal, but chrome rings hold up better under extreme conditions. So i figured i'd ask the forum, for advice and input on past expiriences.?.?..
Yea i know, lol but the oversize of the bearing would compensate for what was ground off the crank. But i dunno maybe you guys are right and i am just a dumbass.:kickinthenuts:
What happened was i bought the car from this dumb ass kid. the car wasnt running right, did a compression test no pressure in number 2. tore it down there was a hole in piston, im sure he detonated, took pistons out cleaned block internals throughly. the rod bearings that were in it were...
I was kinda thinking that but um the crank is already in the block and all buttoned up. And the bearings say .5 so im pretty sure i need a .5 over bearing but the stores say under size so i dunno, are they refering to crank or bearings or i dunno :1zhelp:
Not sure if I am posting in the right place but here goes. Im rebuilding a 7mgte the rod bearings say .5 im assumming that i need bearings that are 5 thousanths over. When i go to parts store Autozone/Advanced/Pepboys, They all only have undersize bearings 25/50/75. Why would anyone need an...
Ima just cut a small hole in the rear cover and plug it with a rubber grommet insert, It will save me from pulling a hub, if in the future another stud breaks...:evil2:
The reason i have to take the hub off is because it has the anti lock brakes and the cover on it so i cant slip in the new stud and i cant find a hole anywhere on the backing plate.
I have to replace one of the front wheel studs on my mk3, My question is, What size is the Hub nut I think it might be 30mm? And once i take that nut off will it just slide out of the bearing assembly or do i need a puller? Any advice from someone thats done this is appreciated. Thanks guys
3 years after my beloved mk2 5mgte was stolen, I am back with this sexy mk3, it was neglected by the previous owner and needed some TLC, it came to the right guy. Needs some odds and ends.
