Those 50MM hellas look sweet and at around $125 a pair the price is wright. They may find there way into my winter upgrades. As far as houseings for bixenon lights would lexan work? I am planing to build a vacume forming table this winter to make some custom motorcycle fairings and some...
I don't understand what your trying to say hear exactly. Mabe I miss understood what you said or maby you missunderstood me. I am in no way trying to start some kind of flame war or anything I just want to make shure were on the same page hear. Incase I phrased it wrong before I will try to...
They are glass projectors with a 35 degree beam spread. The projector headlights I looked at had a beam spread of 42 to 50 degrees. I would think that the same 55 watt bulb would have a greater range in a 35 degree beam than in a 50 degree beam. Also due to there small size vs the stock sealed...
I used 3 pairs of Hella Optilux 1100 Series Projector Fog Lights. I get tons of light output, much brighter, lower, and wider then the crap stock lights. I did them over a weekend for around $125. there fully adjustable and require some modifcation of the stock parts but I had no trouble...
I just happened to notice i never got around to updating this thread after I got her running again. I got the Whipple installed, finished the mega squirt and coil on plug conversion. Car was dyno tuned on 5 psi of boost and put out 260WHP, 270TQ (new 30mm cog belt drive to push 12+ PSI in the...
Fuel pump Is still using the pump relay in the supra triggered off the ignition. When the cars on so is the pump. The AC was long gone by the time I got the car. I live in upstate ny so there are only like 5 or 10 days a year that I would even use AC so no big loss. For power steering I am...
I am sending the car out for paint and body work in about 3 weeks. One of the things getting done is a 2 1/2 inch cowl molded to the hood. Till then I will be rocking a home brew sheet metal scoop and some pop rivets sprayed black on my spare damaged hood in a mad max kinda way.
I figured It was about time I posted the spring upgrades to the supra. I have the new intake manifold finished and installed and the whipple looks sweet (to bad the pulley wont clear the hood). I will be starting off with some where between 8 and 14 PSI depending on what pulley i put on. I...
There is always the 1UZ-FE. That engine will get you what you want plus there cheep as dirt. The only real big cost is mating it to the 5 speed but its worth it. I did the whole 1uz 5 speed swap and had the car on the road for less money then some people pay for just the 2jz engine.
If someone wants to supercharge there 7m I would probably be able to make a setup to supercharge the 7mge or the 7mgte for one to two thousand $$. No idea how much power, if better power band then turbo ext... but you will have a working supercharger. Just finished up the supercharger manifold...
For the moment I will use the Eaton M90 off of a L67 second gen 3800 GM engine. The M90 should give me around 350HP and 350TQ at the wheels at 8 PSI. The stock ECU and injectors can handle that. That should put ma at about a 12 second 1/4 mile. Once i get some more money i would like to...
I will post a link to a video as soon as i can get my hands on a camera. I hope that it happens soon cause there are lots o people who want to see a vid and the camera in my phone would not be able to recored the sound that the engine makes with just down pipes and a pair of glass packs.
I made the mounts myself. I used a supra R154 tranny and the rear tranny support from my old W58 as a guide and then just fabbed up some mounts that put the engine where I wanted it. Not as tight as some other swaps. I did not have to swap my break booster, or cut my sub frame. And I think that...
