    Bad Coils?

Oil??? You mean I have to drain the KY out of it, man the wife is gonna be pissed that I spent the money on filling it up with that, lol. I think I got the intake lifter shims on the exhaust side and visa versa.

    Bad Coils?

Ok we can put an end to this thread, coils were good, everything was good except exhaust cam, I put the cam gear lined up with the middle hole but didn't realize I put it on the left one on the cam, I knew it had to be simple and stupid. She started and ran, now I just have to figure out why it...

    Bad Coils?

Here's an update, I got the coils in and tried them, .07 ohms? Even though it's a nice blue spark now, still no good. Cranked and nothing, checked fuel, yup, air...uh yeah, spark, yup. Leads me timing, I checked that the crank was at 0deg, cams are in the middle hole of the pulley and lines...

    New to the import world

Yeah, I wanted the 350, didn't care for the manual, 700r4s are good trannies for holding up some power, I was kind of in a crunch to trade my 70 firebird and needed something that ran and the wife and I agreed on it...which is rare. :) Thinking back I should have put my money into just a beefy...

I'll have to post a few when I get home, I wish it was the 350 tpi, but it's 305 tbi, not as much hp as the supra, but we'll see if I can swap it when I am saving a couple hundred a month by driving the supra instead of the truck.

    Bad Coils?

What do you think other possibilities would be jetjock?

    Bad Coils?

True, that's what I was leaning toward, just seeing if anyone else had same resistance and still running so I could track down another cause while the coils were being shipped. Thanks, I'll update when they get here...hopefully soon.

    Bad Coils?

Yeah, all three coils are the same spec, I think they might be original, or at least someone replaced them with OEM, but they all have stress cracks. The plugs are usually wet after a few times of cranking, I even sprayed some starting fluid in there to see if it was possibly the fuel. I gapped...

    Bad Coils?

I've got fuel (haven't checked pressure) the plugs are soaked after a few cranks though, I've timed it like haynes and tsrm states (crank at 0', piston at the very top, cam gears lined up to top of intake cover #2, CPS where the drilled portion lines up with the groove and contact points are...

    New to the import world

Yup, traded straight across, the bike had a rebuilt title and barely anybody wanted to touch it like that, even though it was one of the best 95's I've seen. Thanks for the props, I worked hard on getting a few toys...including the wife, lol.

Ha yeah I've gotten really used to the search button along with the tsrm, haynes manual and many of your posts. The 53 is in horrible shape, just about every panel needs replaced, but it runs...when I clean the fuel lines out, just doesn't stop. The wife wants her truck restored almost to...

    New to the import world

Hello Supramaniacs. As the title states I am new to the imports, I mainly work on domestics but recently bought an 89 Supra 7m-GTE motor, 5spd, sport roof. I bought it mainly due to the gas prices, but it has been growing on me, I just wish I could see what it's like to drive considering I...
