I wouldn't say they are a waste of money. I would say the same about maft though. Use the fcd. I ran 28 psi with it and lex afm. No cheaper way to do it. If you need a boost safety use a N.C. pressure switch ($20) on your ignition or fuel.
I'll send you a newer one. My fuel was higher than it should have been. My pump was a lttile more than maxed and I was making up for ther dropping pressure. The old one will work, it would just be rich up top. I have since added twin pumps so pressure is were it should be. I'll send it tonight.
Chief, it does work that way. Yes it can learn. It can correct fuel at closed loop. Don't think so on timing. Ya, it may pull some during an knock event but it's not obdII like later mkiv's. I have yet to even see a post on what the factory timing is under boost. If you know something about the...
Every factory 7mgte ecu has the same timing curve. Alot of people make alot of hp with there mystery timing map. Up to boost, they should all be about the same. Into boost, if the compression ratio is the same timing should be engine to engine. Not many people even run larger cams. Yes one...
A stock PP and disk will easily work for 400rwtq. If you want a little more I would run an ACT PP and a stock disk. Act's PP numbers are known, Specs aren't. http://www.mkiiitech.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=355
The last pic is of where the bolt was rubbing the case. I don't know if that was enough to make the oil so much though. Every thrust washer failure pic I've seen was just broken peices, not worn down to add to the oil.
For those that have broke a thrust washer and pulled the trans apart. Was the clearance obvious or did you have to pull the output shaft out and disassemble it to find out? I have it apart but don't think that it is my problem and don't want to pull the whole thing apart if I don''t have to...
MT dr's 275-40/17. I pulled the trans last night and will pull it apart tonight and see what's wrong with it, won't shift fast under load. If Andy gets his back together soon (hint) maybe we can go back out before it gets too hot. It was at 30 psi.
Did you find the problem? I have done the same to 2 R154's. They become hard to shift when under alot of boost. Mine pops out of 1st and 2nd sometimes and 2nd wasn't there once.
Other than splicing the plugs on, they fit and work fine. I ran RX7 550's, now 700's (680/720). Look on ebay for the 2 you need or here http://www.rx7club.com/ .
Stock block (pistons) are good for 600 easy. Just don't run lean or let it knock.
15 psi on 440's is fine IMO. You are already too rich at 12 psi. I was good with stock injectors and an fcd till 17-18 psi before dipping into the low 12's (AFR). My fuel pump (stock MKIII pump) couldn't keep...
I'm running a P trim .70 divided on a stock mani (welded on a T4 flange). My torque curve, which is a function of boost looks like any .68 undivided I've seen on a 7M or 2jz. If there is a difference I think you would need to log your boost curve to see the difference. I do know the divider will...
