    7MGTE, Truck Motor Torque Build (7MGTE + GT3071R discussion)

Someone on here said that porting (esp enlarging port size) while yielding more power in higher RPM, would be detrimental to low rpm power. I have not yet been able to confirm this but just a thought. About the 7MGE head, I do believe it is identical to the GTE head with the exception of the...

Well I knew Some Solenoids are directional and I just wanted to ask a more educated body. I specialize in more High Voltage/ Protection and Control applications.

    RC550 Wiring Question

Ok, first off, let me admit my embarrassment for not knowing the answer to this question. Being an Electrical Engineer I should know these things. So I just got my set of RC 550cc injectors and pigtails (from myfst89turbo on this forum. Great seller) and I was wondering... Do injectors...

True, I have done everything I can to prevent BHG. MHG, ARP, Decked head and block (and timing cover). But you are right, it is a risk

    7MGTE, Truck Motor Torque Build (7MGTE + GT3071R discussion)

True this is a risk. However I did not explain myself. I only have a rear drive shaft because it had to be custom fabricated by a shop. I did not have money in the budget yet for a front shaft. This in essence neuters the truck for off road purposes and the off road is where the slow speeds...

    7MGTE, Truck Motor Torque Build (7MGTE + GT3071R discussion)

Tranny Info! I decided to Hybrid an R154 with an R150F Here are the two transmissions beside eachother I rebuilt them using the Supra (R154) Input shaft, counter shaft and gears so I could use the R154 bellhousing. THe output shaft was from the R150F and I had the supra gears pressed onto...

    7MGTE, Truck Motor Torque Build (7MGTE + GT3071R discussion)

This was also a worry of mine, for the mean time I will be using a single 10" push type fan with a larger all aluminum 89 Celica Turbo Radiator, 10"X5"X1" Setrab oil cooler and possibly a fuel cooler in the future (I have all the parts for a fuel cooler I am just unsure if I want to do it. You...

I did not enlarge port size, simply removed casting lines and flaws as well as smoothing the lip from the pressed in valve seat. Plus I did all this before I decided to put in in a Truck,

    7MGTE, Truck Motor Torque Build (7MGTE + GT3071R discussion)

So I bought the truck from a friend who was rocking a built 22RE but wanted to swap in a 1JZ. He solid axle swapped it, bought a cab and box rust free from South Carolina and then ran out of money. So I bought it from him and brought it to my friends garage. (not my flag) Here is how it looked...

Update! Motor is in truck and turns over HOWEVER Broken wire in harness between CPS and ECU Gave no spark. Probably for the best as I forgot a freeze plug behind the front Timing Cover (Machine shop gave me a bag of plugs and didnt include that freeze plug. My dumb ass fault for not checking)...

    4.30 from 3.73... will I accelerate quicker?

I am using R154 gears with an R150F Output shaft so I can retain 4x4 with a TCase. My Axles are 5.29 So 5.29*(24.82"/35")= 3.75 Still enough load?
