I have 1989 turbo and a 1991 turbo. Both has r154 transmission but I noticed that there is a 200rpm difference on all gears. I am crusing 50 mph 4th gear and my 89 is at 2250 rpm but my 91 is at 2450 rpm. Is there any difference between these two regarding about the years they were made?

90915-YZZG1
I used to install the 90915-YZZD1. The only problem with that one is engine noise. I went to poway toyota and told them about the problem and they gave me 90915-YZZG1 then engine ran more quiet and smoother than ever.
They told me there are more...

I had the same problem but mine was stock. I had the exhaust manifold leak(the common problem we have on MKIII). Made it tight, then disconnected the battery for 15 min. Then problem solved. Again, that was my stock turbo supra.
to the moderators Im just going answer his comments with no harsh words and i will be calm.
I guess this will never end. :icon_bigg First of all I know about wikipedia is a bad source. I could not give out my password from my online library at school. thats why i looked at what I can find...
Ok I have my hands up already. I know I am out numbered. Here is the last thing I have to say. I know body cars are designed for that but constant bending and flexing of abusing your car without proper support it will still weaken. ANY THING THATS IS ABUSED WEAKENS SPECIALLY WHEN CONSIDERING THE...
Ok i already told the admininstrator that im going to stop but your running your mouth so here is your reference.

Ok for this to get over with, im going to stop now. I shared my experience on the first replied i made to the guy started the thread(page 2). If u some of u could not take it, so be it. ok for my self, it may be rare but its possible. All it was probably based on the crack subframes i have seen...
ok im sorry for the bad behavior. I just cant stand when some people could not take opinion from others expereince. All i did was shared my experience on my car to guy that posted the thread but some followed it by negativity from what I said. I never pointed out that its their car. I said some...
ABOUT BODY WORK, OFF COURSE U CAN NOT SEE IT OUTSIDE. BUT U WILL SEE IT UNDER/BEHIND THE SKIN IF THERE IS ANY SPOT WELDS BANDO OR ANY KIND OF REPAIRS.
YOU KNOW WHAT. WHEN I BUY A USED CAR. I DO NOT DEPEND ON INSURANCE NOR CARFAX BECAUSE IM NOT THAT STUPID TO JUST DEPEND ON IT. I OPEN UP AT...
what are u even talking about metallurgy? Did i even get to that point? All it is is about targa and hard top. And some suspension components. You are the one that making your self look dumb. I even said "try to research and tell me what he finds"(page 2). If u r the engineer you tell us. But do...
Ok here we go again. I SAID FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME OF ABUSE. AND DO I HAVE TO SINGLE OUT EVERY MUSCLE CARS TO YOU, I SAID I JUST USED THE CHASSIS AS FOR EXAMPLE. I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT DIFFERENCES ON MUSCLE CAR OK
AND YOUR RIGHT. RIDE HEIGHT CAN BE AFFECTED BY ALIGNMENT. THATS HOW...
ok, first of all, i only asnwered the guys question about ride height. Ive been though all this with my 1990 targa.
Second, ok with targa off, the car will flex like u said. But i am not talking about just the chassis. The body of the car is the one that actually tweaked. My 89 and 91 are...
You know what, do I have to say SOME everytime I say something. Ok not all muscle cars have that frame and body that we mentioned before, SOME. AND I DID SAY SPORTS CARs IN CONVERTIBLE FORM ARE TERRIBLE(LOOK AT PAGE 2) thats why I said hard top supras is more stiff than targas. I KNOW THE...
If ur targa sits perfect, ur car is perfect.
Just keep continue driving ur car hard without strut bars and brace for support. Just do not blame me one time when u go for alignment one day then they end up not being able to do it. But if your car got strut bars or any kind of support, u...
Body flex is a lack of rigidity in a motor vehicle's chassis. It is often something to be avoided by car manufacturers as higher levels of body flex is a sign of structural weakness, and means that the vehicle's suspension cannot work as efficiently - the body takes up some of the 'slack'...
Ok i may have used the wrong term about the unibody but im just trying to make a point about the difference between the chassis of our cars and the muscle cars. And ur right, the body of muscle cars does not take load because the speparate frame takes the load just like the way i explained it...
Well i never said all targa owners. i said im suresome targa owners had problems on the screws keeps getting lose. U ur self already said the hard top is stiffer, its stiffer because it does not flex like the targas.
And about the chassis, the body of the car its self is whole. Im...
