The orange wire is for a Scrabble Switch Output... This is basically where you can hook a switch to the boost controller to set it from one setting of boost to another. I just left mine disconnected on my old car and it worked fine. That is unless you want to wire it into a Scrabble Switch.
Anything is possible... You're just going to need A LOT better tuning than with the 8.4:1 compression. I haven't personally done this myself, so maybe someone will chime in and give your question a concrete response.
Try reading the article by Sport Compact Car 'Making it Stick'... Lots of information there, and you feel as if you need more, search around on the net and there are plenty of books dedicated to suspension setups.
