I have a mkiii witha 1jz swap and i finally got it running and the idle will start out at 800 and it will slowly creep up to 1000or more rpm and when you rev it the idle will jump up to anywhere from 1200 to 2500 until you burp the throttle again then it will drop back to 900 or so its all stock...
