after your incident with the built 7m, you think you would have learned your lesson and strapped a fire extinguisher somewhere in there!!
lol jokes. you dont need one. the 2j is a beast!
and its good to see lots of progress from your build ;) nice supra man!
Hmm that's good. Because the ones this site had were all 150-160s
I think that's average. Considering a fresh block is 180? Kind of hard to believe but they are promising 180. But if your review is good then I'm going with them for sure!
dude i think i just found that website you bought the engine from. they are from Montreal right? yeah i dont know, it kinda looks fishy because i saw like three videos so far of supposedly "different" 2jz's and they look like they have the same compression readings. and at the beginning they...
looking good man! keep up the good work, not to many of us 19-ers do this kind of stuff anymore. most of our peers are into all kinds of other crap setting a bad example for all us.
well good to hear you fixed that timing plate milling problem. im going to have to keep that in mind when i do my...
oh dude im totally down for this! im form toronto btw. so im probably gonna start from toronto... good thing you've planned this a year ahead. gives us all time to finish or start our builds. although i have to recommend when driving through quebec, id like to drive up to circuit du mont...
oh... yeah i knew that lol

yeah but i just realized something, doesnt the stock oil cooler setup work off of oil pressure? like around 2000 rpm it goes to cooler? so then right from the toyota factory the...
I was expecting your reply 1j. I guess it has too many t's and check valves. But I gotta try this out on a bench with water. It's kinda exciting to me! Lol
yeah thats what im trying to avoid. as a sprinkler fitter i learned that NOTHING works automatic. and i neglected too many things to see them brake or melt. so id rather "flick a switch" at the begging and end of a ride to have more peace of mind.
so im going big single turbo and my intended turbo is going to be only oil cooled so i need to replace stock oil cooler setup for reliability and so i can be more informative of the cooling conditions. ive read the thread on the oil relocate and the earl's temperature activated valve thingy, but...
this may be just cheap for me because i am a fire sprinkler fitter and have all these parts lying around at home. anyways the inter-cooler setup i have requires i have 9 couplings and double the hose clamps. and its hard to tell if your coupling is fully sealed and connected unless you take your...
really? because i have three used turbos. one i just bought wasnt white, another spare one needing a rebuild isnt white and now the one in the pic came with my 7mgte. and it wasnt white before
yep so i finally reinstalled a other turbo. and when i took the old one off, it was clear that it overheated. the fins were white i could almost whipe it off but it was stuck on there good. and same with the o2 sensor. thats replaced now too
lesson learned here? yep...
oh i recently put a 1989 7mgte in my 1988 na and the engine harness has this connector that mates up with the chassis connector but the chassis connector has 3 wires and the engine harness has 6 i think and non of them match up. so i left it out. is that for the boost gauge? im assuming because...
