Hey guys, I already filled out a roll call years ago but just wanted to let ya'll know I'm back in the Supra game. Arashi, who posted like a page or so away with the silver 88 Supra, sold me my car back. Feels good to be driving the old girl again.
I think he was joking about the picture....though I could be wrong.
Also I hate how so many PO of these cars seem to have been morons. I can't tell you how many little problems my car has had over the years that just make me wonder if the PO was really some type of lower primate that had no...
Amazing. I can only hope that one day I can do my ma70 the justice you've done this beautiful ae86. Other than an eventual Supra build thread maybe in the next decade I can post up a build thread for an FB rx7. For some reason I have grown really fond of those old mazdas.
Loving the Supra. One question though. I noticed your shifter is much much smaller than stock(stock is ridiculously long in my opinion) and I was wondering what type of short throw you used and how you went about getting it like that. Did you just chop off some of the stock shifter? Yours is...
That was a very mature and civil way to approach a peaceful discussion.
I have said multiple times that I don't plan to put a V8 in the car, and that it is a PET PEEVE of mine for people to put another manufacturer's engine in their cars. Its not just for MKIII supras. I don't like when...
No, I don't plan to do a V8 swap. Just starting up a discussion topic on what V8 if any, the Supra community likes and why. This is the General Discussion section so I just wanted to discuss.
Personally I'm just against sticking another manufacturer's engine in a car. It isn't just isolated to the MKIII Supra. There is a Firebird on youtube with a 2jz in it and I think that is ridiculous for some reason. Stay GM if its a Pontiac or Chevy. Stay Ford if its a Ford. Just a pet...
Hello Poodles. I was just wondering what kind of exhaust system you are using, or more specifically muffler(already have custom 3in mandrel bent exhaust from turbo back). I have the ugliest muffler known to man and have really grown to love the clean look of a dual-tip like yours.
First off if this topic has been discussed to death just delete this thread. Won't bother me.
Secondly I have always disliked the idea of putting anything but the 7m, 1jz, or 2jz in our cars but I know plenty of people love the added displacement of a V8. My question is why do guys go for...
LOL! While what jetjock is saying is funny, the funniest part to me is how the OP acts like a 15 Fuse is like 20 dollars. You can by a pack of them at the gas station for next to nothing. I know the economy is bad but damn.
I have to agree with Backlash. Similar problems were occurring to my 7m-gte and after Calibrating my TPS the car idles nicely at 650-700, never dies after high revs, and seems to have a little more pep. Also after Calibrating it I did have to adjust my Idle screw to get it to crank up and idle...
Jetjock's tough love/smart ass approach doesn't work for everyone. I will say that it did help me because it made me learn new skills and obtain a more comprehensive knowledge of the car we all love.
I appreciate the support Doat but honestly JetJock helped a lot. When he said that his help wouldn't do much good its because he could plainly tell I don't even have the basic knowledge. That along with his other comments drove me to search for the knowledge that I lacked. While yes it would...
Because I bought the car as a dumbass 20 year old that knew absolutely nothing about them? lol Honestly didn't have to do much of any work on it that required a TSRM until 3 years later, so now I'm paying for my ignorance.
And Dan I'd like to thank you for being both helpful and patient instead of assuming I am a complete fool. I am going to save this 87 tsrm to my computer, as should anyone else with a pre89 7m-gte as it will stave off confusion.
I'll check out my HAC with my multimeter to see if its in working...

As you can clearly see in this 87 Mk3 Supra TSRM code 32 is an HAC error code for the 7mgte. In the 89+ cars the Code was changed to 35, as well as the HAC being integrated into the ECU. If you'll notice the tsrm everyone keeps linking...
