This topic has been rehashed a million times, there's a lot of people that believe the NA cams from an 87-88 7M-GE will net you 10-12whp in a GTE. Personally I'm not convinced, having seen NA and turbo cams side by side a million times, and I've been unable to discern a difference.

I think the best bet for a test mule would be a lex/550 car on a CT upgrade. That would represent the potential MK3 market the best, I think. If we saw proven gains on a car with moderate modding like that, it could help lay to rest the BS about cams not freeing up any power.
