Ok I am determined to get to the bottom of my moody Supra.
The light was coming on only when the engine RPM was almost 0. The car is doing a high then low idle untill warm and I noticed that the light would flash when it almost died. I checked the codes and its an 11. Is this simple enough to...
Thanks for the great information. Its comforting to know that I may not have fubared my car up. I will continue with my plans on the oil change for tomorow.
I removed that little side panel on the right side of the trunk but I couldn't see a way of reaching the cable. I didn't want to tug on anything and worsen the situation. I will have my gf come out to the shop and help me next time, good to know I am not the only one with this problem!
Before doing the HG the gas door opened once perfectly fine. I took it over to a gas station, pulled the lever and voila.
Now it wont? Any mechanical way to do it without ripping it off?
According to Supragirl's page timing should still be at 10 degree with the jumper in place. According to the TRSM is supposed to be above 12. Mine is currently above 12 at idle. Anything wrong or updated?
I am using 10W 30 Valvoline. I will drain the oil and throw a new filter on there tomorow when I get home from work. How does too much oil make the sensor go nuts?
Thanks!
How can you unplug it with the car running? I had to move a bunch of the intake stuff out of the way just to reach the sender today. I am going to buy a test light and try this tomorow.
Yeah i said it to myself a few times and I eventually remember what it is.
I took the wire off and plugged up again but had no luck with that. While the motor was running I did open the oil fill cap and the driver's side cam looked like it was getting plenty of oil.
Ok I have been fiddling around with my Supra since the new HG and I have been fighting a oil leak. Well I took the turbo off for the 3rd time and finally got the leak fixed.
Get the car started and voila it runs. spudders and the idle roams, but i get the timing right and it cleans up its...
lol, sad part is I just stopped working on the Supra. Who knows what all I just hooked together incorrectly.
Thanks guys, I asked because my supra is running but piss poorly so when I get a timing light tomorow I want to have my ducks in a row.
So has anyone had these leaks, or know what I am missing on the oil line? I got stung by a hornet last night as well and now my hand is too swolen to work on it. :(
I must be missing something here. This leak is pissing me off.
I wont be driving the car for a long time untill all the leaks...
Hmm thanks for the warning. I have in the Mustang that I will keep in the garage.
Has anyone figured out what ever the hell it is that is leaking? or causing the fires?
Some of you may remember that I just finished installing a new headgasket on my 87 Toyota Supra Turbo. Anyways after getting everything back together I had a considerable oil leak coming from under the turbo. Oil was quirting on the passenger side of the engine bay.
Last night I took the...
