I'd be curious to see how many people without a fan shroud get this issue compared to those who do. I ask because I just installed my Mishi and without the fan shroud there was, in my opinion, plenty of room between the fan and the radiator. Once I installed my stock shroud then things got...
Adampecush, I did rewire the striped wires: white/blue for injector 4, white for injector 5, white/red for injector 6 so I think I'm ok there. I did not make any changes for fuel so that's another problem. I'll double it.
Hal, my ignitor wiring wasn't right to start but I changed it to the...
I wasn't running sequential before these mods, I was running the factory ECU. Regarding the dwell, I guess I got confused thinking that since I was running the DH61 I should set it to the mkIV NA wizard. I will change that.
I just opened the stock cal file and it shows an ignition sync of...
adampecush, I checked the wiring from the ignitor to coil 1 and that appears to be good (I'm getting continuity at least). No, I can't get it to idle at all. If I keep the phasing settings that FC indicated, it feels as if the engine is trying to start as it sounds like I'm getting some type...
FC, I fixed the wiring to match your guide and used .5, 4.5, and 8.5. Tried to time it before starting and I'm not getting spark from coil #1 (either the 1 or 6 plug). Coil tests OK and so does the 12V power line to the coil. Plug wires test ok too. I still need to test the ignitor. Coils 2...
I'm new to the AEM and have finished my installation but cannot start. About 10% of the time it will stumble for around a second or two and then stall. The remaining 90% is a no start.
I'm trying to troubleshoot starting with my wiring. Wiring the DH61 when using the stock coil packs...
I just installed and configured my AEM and am having a no start issue. I did the sequential injection mod (installing the DH61 ignitor and using stock coil packs). I followed instructions on the supraforum board to wire the ignitor but I see that Funkycheese has posted a different way to wire...
northwestsupra, sorry for the bum info in my first response - I thought you were asking about the hole to the left of the dipstick tube. Duh. Yeah, all the orange circles in IJ's post are oil pressure.
I just replaced a ton of stuff on my rear hatch in order to eliminate the leaking: spoiler gaskets, rear wiper gasket, all four trim pieces around the window. When I removed the trim I also added more weatherstripping adhesive for good measure although I couldn't see an entry point. For me...
Yikes. Sounds bad. I'd just continue taking things apart and see what you find. Sounds like something went wrong with the steering knuckle. My first guesses would be lower ball joint or wheel bearing catastrophic failure or the nut holding onto the axle hub came loose or off.
They do on occasion fall into a black hole and you can't get a response from them. I don't know why and it's a shame - they offer some great products. In the end, Jack or Gregg have always come through but a long wait is frustrating.
