Why not start with the cheaper repair? Pull the cam covers and check your clearances. Or pay your mechanic to do it and have him show you the specs. I'm a GM mechanic, we're not all out to steal your money. Maybe try a different shop.

I would contact him. I have never had problems with him, and he may have not known. Why start a thread saying that he cheated you when you haven't contacted him?

Looks like it is definitely still waste fire ignition, but he has gm style coil packs on there, msd versions though. I'm thinking about changing to gm coils as well, doesn't look too hard.

I figured this problem out a couple months ago, turned out to be atleast one of the coils. once I replaced the coil pack, the car was back to normal.

It's an ok tune. but the Maftpro has AFR Tracking, which helps fine tune things.

I'm on Nitto Drag Radials, the new sp61gtbb, 680cc injectors, and maftpro s/d. Right now I'm running straight off the wastegate without a boost controller, and that's about 18psi. pump gas.
