My car after-fires quite often but not every time. Its just the combo I have, stock ECU, atmospheric BOV, BIC DDP. Timing is bang fuckin on too. If you put a muffler or some more exhaust on it might quite it down or not let it happen at all.
BTW the reason the filter head was plumed backwards was because they had the in and out arrows marked wrong. Earls performance part #2178ERL, called Holley tech assistance and they didn't even have an info sheet available. Wouldn't like to see this happen to someone else, proper inlet on this...
Well it is on of the sandwich style ones. So it goes from the to the filter head and back, filter head has thermostat screwed on the filter on that. I know it shouldn't affect pressure I'm just wondering if I should get a new unit because this one makes noise and moves around when you shake it...
Switched lines around for filter head and the pressure went to 95 then started dropping soon after. Tested thermostat in water and it opened all the way just before the water boiled, but the whole mechanism does move around in there when you shake it. Now do I just wait for a new thermostat from...
Rebuilt motor, shimmed oil pump 7.5mm, Arizona performance oil pump feed line, larger B&M cooler with -10 lines, remote filter adapter mounted on block with -10 lines running to filter mount. Filter mount has Earl's sandwich plate oil cooler adapter with built in thermostat then filter on top of...
I notched the hood latch out to fit mine, didn't move anthing else, already had A/C removed. I wouldn't remove the hood support at all, I was missing one bolt from mine and at speeds of like 80 mph and up the hood shook rank, found out it was missing that bolt put it in and solid as a rock. I...
Take some measurements and maybe we can help you out. I fit one with a 24x12x3" core in and out on opposite ends without relocating anything or taking off the bumper...had to do the slightest trim of the hood support 1/2" x 3" spot, and bent over one of the tabs the factory IC mounts to
Never said I planned on participating in such a "mod" did I? Secondly huge difference between illegal and unlawful, pick up a law dictionary. This thread is getting way too off topic and this isn't the place for this anyway.
To the OP: I suggest leaving alone, but people do what they want anyway.
Might want to learn how to work a clutch before going to a 6 puck, you'll roast it even faster if you can't drive it properly...why you felt the need to dump it that hard to begin with is beyond me.
Buddy thought of this once in his Skyline. His idea was if he was ripping the opposite way of a cop he could flip the switch, brake hard, then switch back and continue on, just so they couldn't see him slam the brake lights in their rear view. Still kind of a waste of time. And yes cops in...
Wow they want $50 bucks to send me $16 dollars worth of parts. Guess I'm gonna call Toyota in the morning, that'll probably be a good 2-3 weeks wait lol
That is a loud muffler. Period. I'd just start with a different muffler. This guy in town had a supercharged 08 civic, race header full cat back and that muffler. Loud as FUCK. He took it off and put some sort of flow master with a straight through design and it was even quieter than that. Hell...
