    2JZGE into MX83 Cressida

ok lets put it this way, 2jzge will cost me around $140 to pick up, figured if I can get it in for under $1K, it'll be cheaper than going 2jzgte. Also at a later time I can go NA-T on the 2jz. However the engine is just that, engine from oilpan up to valve covers, no a/c, no p/s, no alt, no...

    2JZGE into MX83 Cressida

I doubt I could RELIABLY turbo my 7m for the price I can pick up this engine and parts.

    2JZGE into MX83 Cressida

Hi, I have an 89 Cressida and would like to make some more power, but like most people I'm cheap. I found a local company that parts out first gen GS300s and would make me a pretty good deal on a N/A 2jz, however he doesn't seem to know what all an engine set consists of. So my question is: What...

I'll see if I can whip something out in fireworks sometime soon. Do you have AIM? Kinda pointless to keep flooding my post with us just talking back and forth lol.

Average car is around 5-6 wide, 15-18 feet long, so 6x8 would be 40ft, say 2-3 feet between cars, would put it down to 6 cars per side, 5 if one bay has a 2 post claw lift. With the building being 36ft wide, I could put them 2 deep in there, so easily SHOULD be able to house atleast 8, but the...

I was looking more into a fixed structure. I've found 36x48x12 for a little less than $9K. OR I can just buy the lumber and slowly build it up myself for quite a bit less. I want something that I can fit ATLEAST 8 cars in, and have room for a lift and a pit. I figure if I can find some land in...

Well got the Cressida back from the Mexi-Muffler in town, $250 for a 2.5" straight back from the join on the downpipe. Sounds good, kinda rattlely over 4K, but pretty quite even at 6K, much better than just the cherry bomb that was on it. Car seems to breathe MUCH better now, from 20mph I can...

Hmm, got it in there without much modification to the chassis too. Looks nice, I'd be curious to what the weight balance is on there. Plus if I got this 75 I wouldn't be racing it at all, it'd be much more of a show car to me. But right now I want to get the exhaust done on the Cressida, get...

I am SERIOUSLY thinking about getting the 75 and restoring it with a more modern engine, I dunno how large the bay is for an inline 6, maybe a 4age or 3sgte, 3VZ (or whatever the newer truck motor is), maybe even commit genocide and throw a SR20 under the hood. Also saw atleast 2 1.8 Corollas...

BOOO! The junkyard I went to today freaking sucked, I found 7x MKII Supra wheels I was gonna pick up for my GTS (3x extras for spares I'm weird like that), but the junkyard wanted $50 EACH wheel, $200 for a set of supras with dead tires on it = FAIL! Sadly only 1 MKIII Supra out there that I saw...

Guess you missed the bit about me sitting pretty flush with the fenders as is, spacers would make it look GHETTOOO with the tires sticking off too far. Of course after I torch this set of tires I'm going down to 205/50r16 to try to get it more square, the 225's look a little bloated for me...

what are the widths on the MKIII and the MKIV's? cuz with 7in wide fronts I rub a little and with the 225/50R16's I'm about 1/4" outside of the fenders. (remember Cressidas got different front suspension, no double wishbone for us :-()

Those are the 5spokes I was talking about, I thought they came on later yeared MKIII's (89-92 or something). Another guy here in town has those on his MKIII Turbo, and I guess there were gunmetal ones that came on JZA70's in Japan. Dunno though. Right now I don't wanna dump more money on rims...

Honestly, have no clue what those look like. If it was anything relating to one of my 86's I'd know just about every part, but the cressida and supra stuff I still fumble with.

Didn't I just throw up a pic of the Cressi? Well here's some more from right BEFORE I got it (been lazy, and don't want to take 1/2 snow covered pics). The duct-taped intake has been repaired, as has the saggy driver's side corner light, it's also sitting on MKIII Sawblades...

I was waiting for that picture, here's 1 picture of each car, the 86's aren't in that great of shape, but they were cheap and midwestern cars.

The GTS is currently awaiting some body welding (gotta love Indiana cars) to re-attach the rear strut towers to the rest of the car lol. After that I've got Brembo/Bradi blanks all the way around, Hawk HPS pads, Goodridge brake lines and some good fluid going into it, new OEM exhaust manifold...

Hi, yet another newb here. I've been on the forum for almost a year just lurking, but figured I'd introduce myself. I live in Lafayette, IN and drive an 1989 Cressida. Not really a Supra, but same driveline for the most part. I also own a 1985 Corolla GTS and an 84 Corolla SR5. Currently my...
