    Coil pack and Igniter

On coil pack #1 and #3 I have a very weak spark, so weak you can't even see it sometimes. On coil pack #2 I have full spark. I am 95% confident that it is my igniter box. I am just wondering if 9.0-9.1 volts on coil packs #1 and #3 is enough to start it. I don't think so, but not 100% sure...

    Coil pack and Igniter

Anyways I only said my temps because I might have melted something, something small outta the way that melts easy. But I checked all that and I have power where it should be.

Yea it was properly prepped, the guy just wasn't sure of how many kms he has put on the engine since the rebuild, he knows it is around 60 000.

    Coil pack and Igniter

Thanks for the help soo far, as for my heating issue I said in my mini story, I just needed a new thermostat which I knew, but I was out in the middle of nowhere when it started happening. As for the the wiring. I have power coming from the ECU to the igniter (small plug) but it still reads low...

    Coil pack and Igniter

Yea really crappy thermostats. I don't think I am going to use one, don't need to now that it is warmer out. I heard TRD thermostats are good.

    Coil pack and Igniter

Don't worry, I searched on here but I really didn't find the info that I needed. Anyways, I have 86.5 turbo. My car was running and starting fine until today. I went for about an hours drive to a store today. My car was about 80-90 celcius which is normal for me. About five minutes to go before...

    Brake Lights

I recently shorted out my Toyota lamp failure box, and read some threads about how to bypass it. My problem now is that I keep blowing 20A fuses within a few brake pumps. I was wondering if there is some wiring to look at, or if anyone knows where I can put in a resistor and what size I would...

removing oil pan in car question

When mine was leaking I just unbolted the engine from the mounts, loosened the tranny cross-member and used an engine hoist to tip the engine. Granted I loosened or removed what I had to so that nothing was under stress.

    Front Windshield Moldings

Hmmm well I don't want to remove the windshield so I think this may be a case of trial and error with some products. I am thinking double sided sticky tape lol..... something like used with aftermarket spoilers. Thanks for the help everyone.

    Front Windshield Moldings

Hi there, nothing too complicated but is complicated for me since I can't figure it out. Anyways how does the front windshield moldings actually attach themselves? Mine has fallen off on the DS due to some snow we had. Is it some adhesive? Or the gunk around the window? Thanks for the help.

    Stainless Steel

Ok well that is all I really wanted, I am not too big on having the nice shine either since it goes away with road grime. Also the system I want seems to be much cheaper then others to not have it stainless steel. Thanks for the help.

    Stainless Steel

Hi there, I searched the forum but didn't have any luck. I am trying to find out for sure if the myth that a stainless steel exhaust system gives a better sound then say an aluminized mild steel. I am in between exhausts since the one I really want isn't stainless steel. Any info is helpful...

    Backfires when shifting

My problem is I am dumping fuel right now to satisfy my engine since the amount of HP I am running. I get some mean fireballs, plus I get like firewaves. Not all the time, but lets just say I shoot one and no one tail-gates me lol

    Excited New Guy

Yea man sounds good. Your right the difference between the 7m and 1G is about 20 hp, but they both pull just as hard because one engine is a 3.0L and the other is a 2.0L, so you save some weight there. But when you get to the engine swap point, go for the 1jz it is a solid power-plant. They can...

    Excited New Guy

lol HAHAHA oh man I feel for yea. Anyways your right: It's not just a car, it's a Supra. Regardless of the engine. You might try rocking the 1G for a while for learning how to drive the JDM like you said. That engine makes some decent power. I don't what products are available for it though...

    Excited New Guy

Just really think about what you want outta the engine and the most cost effective if your on a tight budget or even a bigger budget. I have however never seen a 7m in a JDM car before, I haven't even heard of it before. I am sure it has been done, but it would be rare. 1jz would be good too...
