Why settle for the SC6162? for the response and power you posted about, I thought you would be looking at the pte5757 or the BWs259 with the .xxAR T3 turbine housing. When i had the BW360 on the 1JZ for a brief time, it was highly responsive and made power from 3700 all the way to my 7800 rpm...
That appears to be a Honda box. Just ask on the AEM forum to make sure. I heard of a few guys locally that run the honda boxes in there 1JZ swapped cars.
I got the standard 83-75 compressor housing and the .91ar turbine housing. This turbo is awesome on the 1JZGTE. I am now wishing I had gone with the 88-74 turbo though. I didn't know that I would have ended up with a 2JZGTE.

Yeah by looking at your posted pictures, that return line was in a horrible place. The hardline shouldn't be too expensive to make. One of my friends has the same setup as you and he used a hardline with his. Best of luck on your rebuild.
