So your the one who bought that soarer, well welcome to the club. I think there are only about 3 or 4 soarer owners on here right now and i think yours might be the only 1G car. If you need anything feel free to ask.
Yea the stock manifold is actually a good design from a flow stand point it's just most people hate the way it looks and the awkward intercooler piping arrangement But if you want to keep your A/C your going to have to live with it because most FFIM delete the a/c to make room
I'm a big fan of the factory 5 spoke wheels and being polished they look great contrasting the black paint. The sunroof is a nice touch , there aren't to many factory loaded cars running around that aren't targas.
Yes a r154 or w58 bolt right up along with supra pedals and master cylinder. The only thing that's different is the rear drive shaft, it's about 2 inches longer the a supra to make up for the soarer being a little longer
Hey guys I'm just wondering if anyone knows off hand the dimensions of the mounting holes for our stock front brake calipers, I'm looking for the center to center distance. If not i guess i'll go out in the snow and start measuring lol
Did plugs and wires today and went over the soarer with a fine tooth comb. Keeping in mind the car only has 80k on it all i could find was a few cracked hoses, a tie rod with the slightist amount of play and some dirt lol
I love the Resto-mod theme so far, it's funny i'm looking at that same exhaust form my mz21 soarer but to make it fit i would have to get a longer cat or test pipe as well lol
Did a little work today, I picked up a used Apexi Intake for cheap so i installed that and re-installed my door panel
The engine bay is very dirty, so i'm thinking i might steam clean it next weekend
Door panel installed
These showed up in the mail yesterday nothing special there Tein HR's i got them off yahoo autions japan for a steal, unforunatly on is leaking oil pretty bad so i will be sending it back to tein for a rebuild but even after that i will still have less then 300$ in the set
I've been doing a few small interior projects over the last few weekends, like i said i hated the factory sim suede so i bought a roll of black automotive vinyl and a leather arm rest skin ...there not perfect but i thank there coming out decent.
Hey guys It figured it's about time i started a build thread for my Soarer. I'm the second owner of the car not including the dealership that took the car in on trade and its in extrmely good shape minus a little interior where and tear So here's the run down
1988 MZ21
-Automatic
-Factory Air...
So i'm debating if i should re-torquing the head on my soarer or just wait till it blows. The soarer is a 88 model with 90k miles and still on the original head gasket and right now the car has zero issues. Other then an Apexi intake the motor is bone stock, even running stock boost and I want...
You can throw a shim or 2 on the wastegate without any issues just make sure you have a boost gauge so you can see where your at, also you can do a few other low buck mods such as having the pre-cat cut out of the stock down pipe and modding the stock airbox.
