It's not uncommon for the softline to the caliper to collapse and cause the caliper to act as though it's seizing. I went through the trouble of replacing the calipers all together after trying to free them up numerous times only to find it still doing the same thing. Replaced the lines and...
Redline MT-90 is amazing for our transmissions. There was a noticeable difference in shifting going from most conventional gear oil to MT-90 when I did it myself, and the old oil wasn't in bad condition at all when it was changed out.
It's a stretch and if your accordian hose is old, it's very difficult and prone to cracking/breaking. A lot of people recommend picking up a new one from Toyota and just calling it a day to make it easier to fit and then you don't have to worry about the hose breaking.
^ This.
To be of any help you need to give us something more to go on than "fail". Different high readings indicate different potential issues with how the engine and emissions systems are functioning.
I don't think glass is the best idea. I looked in to that C4 targa more and it looks like those were made out of some sort of acrylic. Glass is very heavy and because of it's rigidity I don't know how well it would stand up to the chassis flex and you could see it cracking under the stress...
I'd be very interested in seeing this as well. I drove a C4 Corvette ZR1 that had a tinted glass or polycarbonate (dunno which, but it was see through) targa and it was pretty darn cool. Some of the "open air" experience without being open to the air, which was a good thing considering it was...
It's not uncommon if you have a very free flowing exhaust and intake to be getting up to fuel cut range. Only real thing you can do is restrict it somehow. Adding a cat will make a small difference, a tail pipe silencer might help as well, but there's not much you can do that is "simple"...
It can take a while in the cooler weather for all the condensation to burn off and clear out completely. Make sure the cooling system is bled properly and that there are no other external leaks and monitor the level. If you are still losing coolant move on to a compression test (or even...
Most IAT placements I've seen have been between the intercooler and throttle body, inside the engine bay. Pre-intercooler and you're going to have the heat from pressurizing in the turbo an post-throttle body you have heat soak from the engine (as mentioned above).
The Celica I had was a GT (so 1ZZ engine, 140hp stock) and the Prelude is my daily driver right now. The Celica wasn't incredibly quick, but handled nicely with the TRD suspension setup with a very smooth power curve (just enough to still have fun with :)). It responded handling wise very much...
Just so you know, it can be done right....
This was becauseican's car from BIC Performance. I don't know the details on how he did it, but it came out looking really nice.
Just to be clear, I think a lot of people were thinking "MAFT Pro" when you said MAFT, this unit is not nearly as configurable as the MAFT Pro. It basically allows you to put in a MAF (such as what you'll typically find on GM's) rather than the stock Karman Vortex meter. I honestly don't know...
The 7M was designed for a 5w30 oil. If you do increase the weight you'll essentially be trying to push thicker fluid through the same gaps in the bearings. Not saying that it won't work, but it's not optimal. That being said, over time these gaps get larger from regular engine wear. I won't...
Grote products are for automotive application. I haven't really had any issues with their products before. Napa uses them almost exclusively for generic relays and electrical in my area.
.....this makes me very sad I didn't buy my car back when it got wrecked. I knew some of the stuff was rarer and sought after but I didn't think it was worth anything like this :nono:. I had the Celica TRD with the the factory TRD action package body kit and the optional red interior that I...
I can confirm the earlier model Matrix and 2000 - 2005 Celica (both have been owned within the family). If you like some color the one I had was a TRD wheel that looked like this:
I believe there's also a darker blue version of the same style.
