You might want to enjoy the car for what it is. Other wise it'll just become a money pit.
If you perform a motor swap you might be out of high school before you take it off jack stands, and the price tag to even just get your car into sub 12s is pretty steep.
Maybe you could just clean up...
It's doable, but if you do the basic injector math it is probably more than 80% of the injector's duty cycle. I'm really not surprised though that so many people are making 400whp; when DM flow tested my injectors at 43 PSI they all flowed 480cc.
I don't mind the LS400 fan. This isn't my daily driver though. I've had the LS400 fan on this car for a couple of years after my Flex-a-lite fans stopped working.
This is Deals Gap...

Pretty much this.
I'd rather have a smaller radiator with a clutch fan than a larger radiator and electric fans.
I flow enough CFM for 110+ degree weather. It is also enough to make passes at Deal's Gap.

Megan Street Coilovers at THM are $665 shipped at the moment. Considering the cost of shipping I'd say it's a good deal.
You could also get a new set of springs and shocks for cheaper, but...
The term better is a little subjective, but they both have their advantages. Just depends on your goals.
For the easier swap, there seems to be more information available on the non-VVTI, but you could go either way.
I'm not too crazy about the MR2 for various reasons. This is after owning one from 2007-2009.
IMO, You might want to add the SC300 to your search. There are plenty of them that have been swapped to factory GTE motors or have been converted to NA-T. Also, If you're just looking for stock the...
The MA70 is a really obscure platform, and is always going to have people hating on it for stupid reasons. It's not the kind of car to own if a person is insecure.
I usually don't let people bait me in; there's no point in giving anyone else the satisfaction.
I thought you had a set at one point.
I may try the RPF1s 18x8.5s and see how they hold up without a roll. I'm guessing I'll be forced to into rolling my fenders.
I'm also thinking about the XXR 527, but I've only seen them in 18x8.75 with a 20 offset. I'm assuming these are supposed to...
Rodel, you used to have a set of RPF1s right? How would a set of 18x8.5 30 offset with 245/40/18 tires all around fit? Would the fenders require any rolling at all?
You're in Utah and looking at a MK3 in Rustbelt Ohio? Really, there isn't enough information given to say whether it's worth the price. Maybe consider copying and pasting the classified ad.
If it's just a rebuilt 7M-GTE I wouldn't get that excited over it.
