    The (old) Official Gun Thread.

Funny thing is, that was the first thing my wife said when I told her it was time to bring home a Red Ryder bb gun. :D I promised that we'll both wear eye protection, lol.

Christmas buying has begun! I just bought this for my 7 year old to start responsible gun use early: :) And Santa's bringing me this so we can shoot in the backyard together: Daisy Model 008K co2 pistol My wife and stepdaughter are both going to either get a shrouded hammer...

    The (old) Official Gun Thread.

The K9 I shot before buying my MK9 didn't have a safety, and I think that's applies to all Kahrs. Use of a holster and good trigger discipline is better than a safety any day, especially if you ever find yourself under the stress of suddenly needing to draw your weapon. I wasn't too sure of no...

    I couldn't love my MK9 more. :)

    fast easy diet foods?

I just picked up my brand new blood pressure prescription this afternoon, and just got off the eliptical that I hadn't touched in 6 months. 30 lbs to go, so I'm dealing with the same thing, viper. Dietwise, I have had good luck going low fat in the past and dropped from 215 to 177 over a year...

I've got the same pistol, and the first one I bought, too. :) 9mm is just fun at the range, and it's a comfortable shooter. Even my wife has no problem emptying a magazine. It's great for use in the home, but I had issues trying to carry it and ended up buying a second pistol for CC. Post...

    pistol help

Two recommendations for CC & personal protection: 1. Kahr PM9 or PM40 if you don't mind the recoil. I have a Kahr MK9 - same size as the PM9, but no polymer, so it's a bit heavier. I carry it IWB and pocket, and it's on me every single day. 9mm is a proven personal defense round, but if...

Kyana Supras Fall Meet Nov. 2nd 2008

Nope, Parker has 3/4 and 1", but no 7/8ths... I spent last night and up at 5 this morning trying to stretch the 3/4" ID hose, but there's no farging way. I did get a foot or so of 7/8" double braided line from General Hose, but it's so stiff that I just couldn't get the flanges to line up and...

Kyana Supras Fall Meet Nov. 2nd 2008

I should be there, but no Supra.... I have battled my oil return line for 2 weeks, and I'm done for now. I have a length of 7/8" ID oil line on order, but it won't be in until mid next week and I won't be getting to working on it again until I get back from Canada. So I guess I'll be there in...

Nag away. Shoot me a PM any time or catch me at the meet on the 2nd. :)

Debt Managment (or, how to keep from fucking yourself finanically)

Not quite. I've been helping my step daughter look into buying her first place; a cheapish condo with a second bedroom she could rent. Since she is in the same situation as you, I personally spoke with a real estate friend and one of his trusted mortgage people. She told me that credit cards...

Well that's good news. If the clutch is on right, then the problem absolutely has to be between the pedal and the fork, and no need to worry about pulling the tranny again. I'll double check the fork tomorrow, and bleed the slave if I don't see anything there. Thanks Matt.

    Shytheed Gets Serious

The slave is definitely on, Matt. I thought about pulling the fork, but wanted to see if anybody had any definite answers while I work through the rest of the minor issues, and I'm fairly sure it is in the right way. As for 'new' master and slave? I'm not sure how new they were, but...

IT LIVES!!!!! :D After a really bad fuel leak from injector #2 last week, I pulled the fuel rail, installed all new o-rings, set the fuel pressure to 32-33 base psi, turned it over, put the EFI fuse back in, and it started immediately. No hesitation, no stumbling, nothing but a perfect...

what length extention will i need to remove the top starter bolt

The best luck I've had is using two 1 foot extensions with wobble ends and a swivel. Getting the bolts off is just the beginning of the starter fun. :D

Kyana Supras Fall Meet Nov. 2nd 2008

Well my dyno is now up in the air, thanks to a leaking injector. We were making the first fuel pressure adjustment, just before starting my new motor for the first time, when we found it. Now I've got to pull the fuel rail again... Start up next Sunday!!! ??? :x:

No way! You found the cash for your car?!? Sweet - can't wait to see it! I am turning the key on mine for the first time tomorrow afternoon, and unless I've done something seriously wrong I should be ready for the dyno on the 2nd, too. :icon_bigg

Tomorrow's the big day!!!!!! :biggrinbo Dave (dbsupra90) will be here about 1 or 2 tomorrow afternoon to help me look everything over one more time before I pucker up and turn the key. :D So far everything looks good, and I'm down to just the belts, radiator, ecu and a few miscellaneous...
