But I can pull the one shift lever back forward and spin the transmission freely so that would mean it's not stuck right? It's just every time I put it back together that lever pops back forward and sticks it in gear and I can't get it out.

Just did another check and found my injectors are not firing. They don't make any noise while cranking. Pulled a plug no fuel making it into cylinder. When I ark the wore from b+ to fp the pump whines. Replaced the injector resistor with a known good one off a running car still nothing ?
Ok so i have an 87 7mgte basically stock except for an after market bov. It was running great and my fuel gauge doesnt work so in process of trying to fix it i pulled my gauge cluster out and changed the fuel gauge out with a 90 7mgte fuel gauge. i also changed the tach and temp gauge too...
Nah didnt use the relay set up. I got new headlight pigtails, grounded one and ran a wire to the other side and hooked them to the switch. Then I pulled the circuit board off my tail lights on the passenger side and tapped into the wire that powers the parking lights. Only have to run that...
Found a universal headlight switch at autozone with a fuse in it. Ran a wire to the tail lights and one to each headlight powered from the battery. Only cost me $10 with wire.
