    89T with GT35R and FFIM

Nick: Must be it then. Like I said, the lines are tight, but they clear ok. The other one wouldn't clear the filter housing and placed the turbo way too far back in the bay to be able to make a decent downpipe. I'm looking forward to working on it a little more this weekend.

nick m: not sure. Step one for me was to hack the stock flange off of it, which made it to the scrap/recycling bucket in pieces. I had two versions though, and the older one was a joke. The pipe coming out of #1 had zero thought as to where anything else in the car was, so I'm guessing that's...

    89T with GT35R and FFIM

Thanks for the compliments! arknotts: not sure about the top-end yet, just been kind of fooling around with it so far. Spool-up seems much better than the non ball bearing 60-1 was, in fact I'm regularly surprised at how easily it starts to get a little pressure building. The BOV definitely...

    89T with GT35R and FFIM

Thank you! I feel like there's still a lot of basic wire cleanup and stuff that needs to happen before it's really as clean "looking" as I want it, but either way it will probably stay a little cluttered. I went smaller on the a/r, .82. Not looking for huge numbers, just a good toy. No stats...

    89T with GT35R and FFIM

Whew, been a long time since I did much posting on here, I've just been cracking away at this car after work here and there for ~10 months. It's not quite done yet, but I just got her running again yesterday, first drive this afternoon. Consider me an excited parent showing you pictures of his...

    maft genII problems

yup, it's from a newer ls1 camaro, at this point the only one that runs even vaguely right is "ls1 aluminum." Same one that comes from the non-z06 c5 vettes. The maft must be pretty close, it runs great as soon as it gets past that initial bog. It's not even that bad (not nearly as bad as a bad...

    maft genII problems

almost there, she's up and running, cruising fine, boosting fine (though in need of a tune for certain). Problems I'm still having, still stumped on: * wants to run rich for the first 2-3 minutes, won't go into closed loop until then (narrowband heats up in 30-45 seconds) * hesitates when I...

    maft genII problems

Now I'm confused. Today it decided it would cruise perfectly fine, totally drivable, but as soon as it starts to boost up it goes off the charts lean and of course craps out from there, but as soon as I let off the gas it goes back to the same perfectly acceptable cruiseing setup.

    maft genII problems

the ISC hose wasn't well settled, and was likely leaking. Found a filter to put on it and you were right, that definately stabalized the idle a great deal- the readings are a stable 22-28hz input to the system at idle. I ended up with a mainscale of -24 to satisfy Vf within a 2v range, so it...

    maft genII problems

hey good to know, looks like your setup is very close to mine. There's two sets of numbers on my sensor, one is a sticker and the other is engraved in. The engraved is 98086 8988 2 and the sticker is 89871349503. I've been told it came off an ls1 5th gen camaro, and so far the setting I've had...

    MAFT pro Vs. SAFCII

I have an SAFCII right now, and am in the process of switching to the maft genII (similar to the pro) what the SAFCII does well: basic fuel adjustment across a good range of rpm points, with a high/low throttle position based changeover (with interpolation in between). It works pretty well...

    maft genII problems

ok, I got it to go out for a drive tonight. I set the 2000 and 3000rpm points on the afr tracking to 14.7, which it now holds as the "target afr" in the monitoring stuff. Even so, it wouldn't get there without me pulling at least 15% fuel out on the mainscale, and it runs super rich under and...

    maft genII problems

hmm...it seems like the a/f tracking is kicking in, I set the desired @ 2000rpm (and presumably below that) to 14.7 and suddenly it wants to be lean all the time (like 16-17:1 a/f). All the minimum settings for the tracking are well above what it's at (min load @160 or something, min tps @ 4.0...

    maft genII problems

no no, the usertn is a display of the total amount being adjusted by the gen2. IE the mainscale + the rpm/load adjustment + whatever else. Running 550cc injectors

    maft genII problems

mainscale == usertn. I guess I'll be zeroing it tomarrow morning to try again. Question though: is there a reason I /shouldn't/ be compensating for the injectors?
