My name is Darin, this is the evolution of my 1986.5 Supra.
Back in 2005 my dad first bought the 1986.5 Toyota Supra from a customer of his with a blown headgasket. It sat until 2009 when he finally had time to fix it and him and I disassembled the engine and reassembled it as a project. Over...
Well I am the student machinist lol. That's why I'm asking before I just chop away at it. I already planned on the 2.0 gasket and JE pistons and Eagle rods so the C/R for the JEs are like 9.0 I believe is what they rate them at. So basically check for warp and try to take no more than a 5 cut...
I've been searching around and I can't seem to find an answer for the question "what is the minimum block/deck height?" I would like to know what zero deck height is before I start decking the 3 blocks I have here at school so I know what the limit is. If anyone has some information please let...
I used them while drifting and I adjusted my dampening to a setting that another mk3 drifter suggested and I didn't play with it because I was more focused on learning the driving portion. But once I got to do the autocross event a few weeks later I had great handling and performance out of them...
I'm looking for a fitment about as aggressive as this with 9" wide all around. What offset will get me close to it or at least flush with the fenders and quarters? +25?
Edit: I just happened to be browsing for rims when I notice the ones I want actually only come in a 9.75" width. Will there be...
My speedo hasn't worked in a year and I don't have much ambition to fix it since I plan on making it a designated track car. And I had the open differential welded. I was looking at maybe just going one piece shaft if the driveshaft wasn't interchangeable.
Originally I was going to get a new OEM clutch for next summer for drifting my stock 7M-GE with W58 transmission but I also have an R154 that was going to get swapped in with my (soon-to-be-)built 7M-GTE over the 2014/15 winter. Someone mentioned something to me a week ago that just made sense...
So this thread is really old but I'm going to be taking my Mk3 stock 7m-ge Supra to its first ever drift event in about 3 weeks. My coilovers are on order and should be here in a few days but I was looking for some advice.
I was going to get Powered by Max coilovers but when I asked them they wouldn't have any in stock for about 6 weeks, that was 3 weeks ago and I needed a set for Sept. 6th. Unless someone knows a dealer (THMotorsports, MVP Motorsports etc.) that has some in the warehouse. That's the only reason...
So I have been trying to decide between these 3 coilovers for the last few weeks and can't decide. Also it just so happens that the week I decided to purchase one THMotorsports is also having a sale on them all. I'm looking to make my car strictly for track (drifting to be exact) use later down...
CFM is power so it never hurts to increase the amount of air you can flow into the chamber even if there is a turbocharger to force it in. Plus with an aftermarket bottom end a built up top end is going to help bring out it's potential.
so .5 is going to save you the hassle? But to clear things up all you need to do to run +1 is to grab a carbide and unshroud the combustion chamber walls
