haha i have never had the "broadcast tower" in working order on my cars instead it was always in the retracted position. Thanks for the input guys, hopefully it sheds some light too the people that never knew they had the option.

Hey guys i see a lot of wtb threads of power antennas, why dont people just use the hatch glass antenna? Both my cars are jdm but have a second antenna thats on the hatch glass and seems too work really well. All i needed was a gm antenna adapter. I was thinking of deleting the power antenna...

You have been a great help, I'm going to get the cruise, the switch options aren't the best but I'm guessing a stock wheels controlls would work the same since it's a typical 4 button on off acc coast

unbolt the motor mounts, lift it up about 5 inches. pull the pan off and throw new rod bearings in it. At the point your at, a whole weekend 100$(for the bearings) and a whole lack of shits given id just do it. (It'll work ;] ) I've read your whole thread, and ive had the same shitty luck...

your probably fine its just popular for the head gasket to separate or disappear between oil and water passages thus mixing the 2 creating a corrosive liquid that eats away at your bearings and therefore giving lots bearing troubles after a BHG. I wish you the best of luck

the only problem with the hooks which i didnt know werent stock is the auto places suggested me a wiper blade that that touches the window trim, im pretty sure mine are stainless steel and made by piaa (the hooks)

One thing that i could think of is when you change your thermostat your also refilling the cooling system, the cooler temps (or so the gauge thinks) can come from an air pocket near the thermostat and overheating can be caused by that also. check for exhaust gasses and if none are registered, if...

yup the steel tube that runs in front of the timing covers is for ps and the ps also has a vacuum line to the under side of intake
