how to tell if a MK3 has the origional radiator support?

I was referring to the top section. I usually see a letter followed by a few numbers, but the support on the car I have owned for 12 years has no such markings stamped on it. It was in a pretty substantial front end collision so I suspect that it is not the factory support. I am looking...

how to tell if a MK3 has the origional radiator support?

hey there. How can I tell if a car has the original radiator support? What do the numbers mean on the support, I don't believe they match the vin but perhaps I am wrong. I do not think my current car does not have the original support. Sorry for the silly question, I did search.

    1jz swap coming soon

I was not trying to "hate" on JDM engines at all, I have been beating the crap out of mine for 10 years with no problems I have at least 25,000 miles on it. I am about to buy another one for my next project. But I am trying to help set a realistic expectation. To do it right, in my opinion...

    1jz swap coming soon

great advice for sure. I also recommend looking at the motor in person. remove the valve covers, get a compression test performed in front of you, check out the coolant passages for rust / crud, ect, make sure the oil pan is not damaged. I was very patient, and found a clip with a stock...

    1jz swap coming soon

any JDM engine is a crap shoot. expect blown turbos, and a motor that needs new gaskets, water pump, belts, tensioners, idler pullys. ect. My 1jz had blown turbos when I got it. That is why id recommend the 2jzgte. The cheap cast manifolds for 2jz make a single turbo swap pretty cheap and...

    1jz swap coming soon

I highly recommend that you just skip the 1jz and go right for a 2jz. I have had my 1jz for 10 years and it has been great, but the 2jz has much better torque, and aftermarket support. The only reason I went with a 1jz is back when I did my swap it generally was the consensus that the 2jzgte...

So....um why are people paying a grip for moldings?

the window moldings are not available from Toyota any more, and I don't see how that generic molding material would work for anything but the front window I would definitely be interested in a reproduction set of moldings that emulate the factory parts. I have been reluctant to paint my car...
