    AFM + Carb Cleaner=Disaster

    On a related note...the MAF cleaner I bought to use on my Mazda explicitly says not to use it on a Karmann Vortex (Which the Supra Turbo apparently uses) style air flow meter. Is there stuff that is safe for these? Or is there no real need to clean this type of meter? I ask cause every other car...

    1UZFE swapped cressida

    Doesn't have to have come in the same car, just has to be newer than the chassis it's going into, last time I checked. Of course, a 2JZ could drop in without notice, eliminating the annoyance of dealing with smog referees. A 1UZ is not quite as stealthy.

    That is a very clean engine bay, for certain. 1UZ is not my favorite engine though, it really doesn't make enough HP stock (The LS400 is sufficiently brick-ish to need the torque though). Perhaps a supercharger would gain some more interest?

    All the Nissan pickups I can find data on have the SOHC VG30E (Or it's higher displacement sibling, VG33E), which is a completely unrelated engine (besides being a 3.0L V6).     My old 300ZX had a leaky rack when I got it. I just had the guy replacing my alternator remove the PS belt while he was at it, and left it that way for 70,000 miles. Totally great when moving and especially at highway speed, but pure hell when trying to parallel park.
