I have that IC piping setup on mine, it's ok... Cheap tin-can like thickness to the pipes but it all lines up and mates great with OE style IC (I have a 2.5" cartech). For the money and the utility, can't beat it.
I cannot feel for you any harder man. My red 88 turbo/targa/5spd was just totaled this monday(9/10) by a woman who was texting and driving while she hit me in the exact same spot yours was hit while I was sitting at a turn waiting for her to turn. I have no clue how much I will get for insurance...
So a whole bunch of stuff has happened and I have been super lazy about updating but here's the short of it. I got everything back together and the new clutch works awesome.
I bought Emilio's Stainless Highflow cat and got it hooked up to my brand new Tanabe exuast. Sounds heavenly.
Various...
So good news. I finally got the transmission out of the car and I am not surprised by what I see. The old disc is in pretty bad shape.
"New" disc going in
Hopefully I can find a way to get it back in!
I ended up being kind of clever. I used a 14 with one wobbly and an extension for the back of the transmission. On the engine side, I used another 14 with a wobbly and an extender to brace against the manifold. Worked like a charm.
Now I am just wondering how many bolts there are on the front...
So my clutch is pretty much gone now, time to swap in the new one.
My exhaust is pretty much fooked. Took the whole thing off and there are rust holes everywhere. The first pic is not caused by rust but is a result of taking off my exhaust before. Sean had to weld it blind, not too bad...
Here is an interesting video I found on my phone today, Funky and I derpin around trying to get the rear subframe off. It was on there pretty good!
