And that whole ability to have it done by spring is all just more of in theory, if I spent enough money on it that fast. But I won't. I was just saying I could if I wanted to. I could get it done faster if I really wished.
Oh don't worry I got the daily driver out of the way. Either way I'm gonna sell the 240 and put all that money towards a better daily than what I have. That's coming before anything. And I already have financial plans for everything. I have a set plan of saving money each month for things that...
mostly just looking to randomly talk here...
i need some advice, actually..
let me start off with this....
So right now i have a 1990 nissan 240sx because i couldn't afford my supra anymore.. i got discharged from the military and lost any sort of funds, and in the long run, it would...
i do have respect for the engine, because for the power you can get out of those 4 cylinders, it's pretty impressive, and its got a great aftermarket. I haven't completely tossed out the idea of the swap being as there's one for sale near me for $500 that needs a new piston and some head work...
well some of the guys would look down upon it. there's one guy on the forum I'm on (240sxforums) that has a 2jzgte 240. a good 90% of the guys there though all go sr20. Which is what i DON'T want because thats what damn near everyone does. I don't wanna feel like i'm hopping on the sr20...
sounds good! those are the answers i've been looking for. I knew it'd be better to ask here than the 240 forums because i know i would get flamed up the ass by those guys for putting a toyota engine in a nissan.
But sounds like I will save my cash and instead put it towards probably the...
Few things.
First things first though.. A couple months ago i had to sell my supra, and now that I found this, I wish I hadn't... Anyway, long story short, sold the supra (was an mkiii) and i picked up a 1990 240sx with plans of putting a 2jz in it.
This is where my question comes in. I...
right now any money is better than no money. now i just really need the money more than i "need" the car. i don't NEED this car, and like you guys have all said, probably better to cut my losses now, and wait till i have an education and am financially stable to start wanting such a delicate car.
Right now any money is better than no money. Now I just need the money more than anything, no matter how much I love this car. On the bright side, I have an interview on Monday at 4.
ahh. sorry for the repost then haha. I tried searching the random youtube video's threads but nothing was loading because of all the videos. anyway thanks for the tip
Also if you close in the first picture, you can see that the driver side rear blinker has a hole in the plastic. Does not effect functionality in any way, shape, or form, though with it rains, water will collect in there, but will NOT get into the light casing itself. I bought weather stripping...
If I can find some body that would give me a good deal on a rolling shell, I'll be more than happy to part ways with it I suppose. I just don't have any idea what would even be a reasonable amount for a price on these cars with no engine..
once I get these pictures onto my computer I'll post...
At best, I can sell the body for a project car only. The guy offering me $1300 backed out because there were too many little things that had to be fixed (just a couple pieces of trim missing, one of which I had and was ready to be put on...) and when he contacted me he said himself that he...
You're very welcome!
The way I see it with these cars (and anything for that matter), if in the end, you like the end product and it makes you happy, there's no reason why it shouldn't be well worth the cost/time/labor/frustration, etc that has been put into it. Everyone on here has been telling...
