Today I've revived a call from a friend of mine saying that a Supra MK3 won Round 6 of KOE. I verified the story with 100% reliable source (who was on the event in Greece) and now I believe it to be true ,even tough it is not yet official on KOE's web site.

Apostolis Papalexopoylos won the round with 2JZ powered Supra MK3. I do not have any info on the car ,but I found some videos and pictures.

NOTE THE MASIVE Steering angle that they were able to achieve with the MA70 Chassis/Suspension!!! It is almost unreal ,I don't know a method of actually doing this on MA70 besides using custom steering rack

Here is a link to one of their drift videos:

Apparently this cars was developed as killer drift machine in the last 4 years. From his youtube movies ,it looks that it went true 3 know evolutions.

Evolution 1 - Blue with pre 89 tails:

Evolution 2 - White (Lol that is a pretty high speed drift!) :

Nice, wish there was more information about it.

I talked to a buddy of mine who saw the car in person ,according to him the subframes are foru sure MA70 which is probably the most important part for me.

He heard that the car made over 600 horses ,but this may or may not be be a myth. He saw the turbo and it appears to be GT35R but again unless I see engine bay shots I can't confirm. Will dig a little more on their faceBook page and see if I can find something out.

That car is sick. Any idea how he has so much angle?

I'm ready to bet you that his knuckles are heavily modified ,pretty common and well described mods on S13/S14 even nicknamed "moar angle mod" in RX7 community ... what a shame that noOne ever described such a mod for MA70 - at least we now know that it is a championship winning mod...

Actually a member on here by the name of redphenix was saying that he used the front spindles and lower control arms off of an sc300 on his mk3 to get more angle. I think there were a few problems with the suspension geometry after doing that, may not be championship winning but its a start.

Interesting ,but would probably require very expensive and risky modification on the subFrame to get the SC300 LCA to fit. I can't imagine what the suspension geometry problems might be when the camber adjustments with cheap adjustable UPCs are basically infinite?

Soarers are much more popular drift car than MKIIIs but they just so happen to share subframes, drivetrains, and a lot of other stuff with us :)

Stalking Soarer drift builds is the only way I ever really find new stuff for the MKIII.

wtf never saw that one coming, good find had no clue that they were that close together.
