Did you get any tears in the back seats from having that bin sitting on top of it? i'd imagine it might be a little rough because of the bin shaking from all the base.

i would like to see some more pics of some other subwoofer setups honestly none of these convince me for mine??? anyone has something different:1zhelp:

There are a few different threads on this also. Pretty much comes down to how much space you want to take up. How much weight you want to add and if you have a targa top to put back there ;)

Do what you think will looks good and then post your pics :p

that is just sexy. i think im going to do this with mine :p i got 2 12's, mismatched 1 momo 700watt and a 1200 watt punch :p "old school but great" hooked to a 1800 watt pyle driver amp. it was good enough to shake the rear window, but i have the problem of lack of targa space. :( and i love my targa off when i can at least :p

what type of wood is that? how long did it take to make it? tools used?

I used 19mm MDF in wooferbox and 10mm MDF in amp box. I spent about 3weeks on this setup...

Here's more progress on mine. I got a Kenwood amp and this 10'' Pioneer off a local guy for $40, so why not? I just want something so I can hear the kick drum with the windows down! The amp is small enough that its going to go under the plywood towards the tail lights, so its not directly over the fuel pump cover.

The biggest PITA is getting the rear mold done...Now I'm going to just have 1 piece of fabric for the outer shell so it'll have a much more stream lined look. I'm using old tshirts for the fabric because they absorb more resin and I don't have any better use for them! Any hints are appreciated!

(after I took these, I cut the outside portion of the board, so its not sticking out like that in the front.)

This is my first ever attempt at fiberglass:

just a clean setup i just want it to sound good as im use to lots of bass lol

I dont think youll have enought space for a box that will hold 2 or 3 12s. not with a back seat and a targa. youll have to compromise between loud, space, and location. Kinda like the cheap, fast or reliable thing. Pick two.

could anybody send me dimensions for the boxs that let u stil use a spare tire and the targa holders and the backseat?...how does the bass sound when you use a box like that?..i have a single 12 in just a ported bassworks right now and it sounds good but those boxs look pretty clean and tehn i have somewhere to put my targa again!

Built my box today useing a Alpine 12" typre r dual voice coil (1500w max) forget rms although i think it was around the 500 rms figure. Amp will be a Cadence z series 800rms monoblock and the box is 1.73 ft3 (the target was 1.7 so it's pretty close. Ports are the reccomended size ( slotted) although some tuning will be done to taste.
Box is 16 mm MDF glued, nailed and screwed.
To finish i will make a skeleton base that covers everything around the spare tyre and will paint and carpet to taste as well as keeping with the grey theme.
Here's what i made today...

still have much to do and the angle makes the box look bigger than it is.
