You will go well over 400rwhp with the added comprssion.

Lower temperature alone should be enough to break the 400whp barrier...

Curious question, is a 10.99 possible without sacrificing too much comfort? I.e., stripping interior, sound deadening, etc... if you were to replace things like your brakes, suspension, driveshaft, flywheel, etc, with lighter components? I wonder.

Well seeing the flywheel (flexplate) weighs like 3 lbs and I have a one peice driveshaft already probably not. However if I can get a good 60ft and trap 120mph the car should go 10.99!

I'm shooting for 10's weather I have to gut it to bare sheet metal

The way I yielded the higher compression is by going to the thinest head gasket available 1.2 compressed and removing as much material off the head and block possible without making it an interference motor. It has a 12 thou positive deck height and just enough piston to valve clearance to get by. The car is making some breathless now!

That is purely subjective.

True. My definition is "could someone who's old enough to appreciate the comfort enough to NEED it, use the car as a daily driver?" If the car is completely gutted, hard riding, noisy, and hot, it's probably fine for a younger driver, but once you get older, you start to appreciate how comfortable a Supra is when left alone. :)

Nice numbers Devin, knew you'd clear 400 pretty easy. You still haven't done cams or any head work, have you?

That is what I was getting at. I drove a 5.0 Mustang for a while. And while it was a 1990 GT, there wasn't anything Grand about it.

Stock head and cams, however the cams have been degree'd to help with top end power.
Any plans for head work? I know Tyler ran a 10.67 with the R154 and stock head, definitely more power to be had for him. If I remember correctly you have a modified stock exhaust manifold with external wastegate? Any reason you haven't made a tubular manifold yet, other than time?

Haha, good point sir, good point. My 2001 SS wasn't exactly what I'd call "super sporty" either. :p

Yes its a stock manifold with a external wastegate. I personally see no reason to go to a tubular manifold on a stock turbo as I don't think it would help at all.

Stock head and cams for now as they are working fine. But if need be I will start doing head work.

Any pictures of the external wastegate setup? I wouldnt have thought you could make the manifold an external wastegate without having boost creep issues.

How many dollars per HP are you willing to spend? That's why I see no point to go with a FFIM and Tubular exhaust manifold.

Was it your brother that was the welder for this car? If it's something that can be done for a reasonable price, why not?
