decided to try joining car and engine a bit differently this time. more specifically, dropping the car onto the engine.

Sadly, the turbo and manifold are coming out. Forgot to install the 7/16" studs on the exhaust side of the head and pulled out a few studs. Other than that, this has been the easiest engine install yet thanks to installing the engine, transmission, and subframe from below.

i've pulled helicoiled metric studs out of heads in the past but never the 7/16" ones, so I'm not risking it this time and going straight for the big ones. already have a good stash of 7/16 studs, just need to get a few more inserts.

Hit the dyno. 418 rwhp at 17 lbs. Equivalent to around 450 wheel on a dynojet. New injectors and plugs on the way to cure idle issues and a slight misfire under load.

Nice work, I have always thought it would be easier to reinstall the drive train that way. Especially having a 2 post lift. Solid numbers as well.

What fuel are you running?

Petro Canada 94. Word from the tuner is that Husky 94 is a better fuel.

Car was nowhere near knock in spite of what the sensors were saying. Stopped pushing harder due to the plugs and uncertainty of the injectors.

Great to hear that the car is running.

I have your build saved as motivation and inspiration to keep me moving on my white A70.
