i just got a nice little 10" tube woofer from audiobahn. it hits hard as hell for what it is, i'm definetly satisfied..unfortunatly i cant fit the targa in te trunk nomore. i've never taken a picture cuz im not really proud of the dirty ass carpet and car parts laying around in there

I'm a Car Audio specialist and I've been doing it forever...so I figured I needed to be able to talk about something with my car when it comes to car audio...

So today, I bought a 12" Power Acoustik Fubar Series...800 watts RMS. :love:

It's a little messy right now. 2.3 cube (net) tuned to 31hz.

I'm building a new box in the spring. I'm bringing it back another 4", placing the driver on top, and increasing port area 4 fold. That shitty PG amp is also being tossed for a matching eD one.

The amp is underrated at 1200wrms (puts out about 1400wrms with the engine running), and it POUNDS.

Haha. Well, to my surprise, it sounds amazingly clean!

I hooked it up last night, currently only 220wrms @ 4 ohms with 10 gauge wire (TINY), tuned the amp a little bit for about 5 minutes, and it's loud enough in car that it makes you feel clausterphobic because it's hard to breath, your hair gets tingly and your chest suddenly feels as if you've just ran around the block. :runaway:

It's honestly WAY to much for my needs...but for the price I get this new stuff for and it's always nice to have that extra oomph when needed, I'd say I'm completely impressed with it.

Our installers have convinced me to go ahead and get 4 gauge and run it at 2 ohms because 220wrms amp + 800wrms sub = ....barely over 1/4 its power potential.

I've always completely underestimated Power Acoustik because I looked at it as a "Flea market" type of speaker...but I am 100% thoroughly impressed. :icon_bigg

yup, the targa fits and it sounds even louder with it back there.
