The QSV could be run in any position. You can even position the actuator on the front but it is not that nice as we would like to normally hide those things.

I like how my brake lines turned out, looks nice but I want to get my big brake kit installed but have to wait to find some TT rims or get some other Volks.

Finally installed these gauges and have to wire in the QSV spool valve's relay to have it controlled by my boost gauge. These Autometers are some badass gauges.

Well, I had a seized caliper. Bought the rebuild kit from Toyota to fix it. That is done. When I get new rims, my Wilwoods will go on. I did finish routing all the lines and have new lines made to feed my wastegate and boost solenoid.

I put the harness on the engine and plugged everything up. I am not running a few stock items such as the charcoal canister but I do have a fix to keep fumes out of my car. All the spare plugs are still there but tucked nicely. I also calibrated my TPS as well. The new loom really makes the harness look nice and with clean plugs, it is even better.

I still have to pick up some stainless steel zip ties to secure the exhaust wrap on the manifold. The sensor on the water neck will be covered when the intake pipe for my turbo goes on. I will have to secure the alternator as can sensor plugs since I don't want them to shake around, even though it doesn't move much, I still want it held down firmly but with a little movement for any vibrations.

Thanks Tweet. I am hoping it is going to be nice as well. I did put the timing cover back on because I am getting a custom one made....:)

How is your build coming along?

Its coming, I'm running into a major problem installing a new set of oil drive shaft bearings, but its going to the machine shop this weekend to have them do it. SO that should take care of that. As soon as I get that back the bottom end is getting reassembled again, and hopefully I don't run into any other major problem, but only time will tell. And i'm sticking to not rushing it, so all I can say is bring it on Mr. 7M-GTE.

The only flaw with your build i can find it its not being done to my car. If i had the money i would have you do one for me, Very impressed with the detail and time you invest.

I know exactly what you mean. It sucks to have figment issues or any issues. I look at some of the people who have fitment issues on there builds and I know exactly how it is. I had a bunch of modifications made to just run and fit the QSV how I wanted it. Then I had to get custom studs made to hold it all down since I could not find the right length bolt and one mounting spot is below the AR housing where only a stud can be used. Any turbo car will have fitment issues though, it is why I have to learn how to Tig weld.

Thanks man. I try to pay attention to detail. You would not believe me if I told you, but look at a few pages back, there is a picture of my shirt and my hands after fixing up the engine wiring harness. That is considered to be clean. Every Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday I work on what I can. My hands are usually full of grease and Gojo really helps that. I always get cuts from the little areas I have to put my hand through and I actually bought Neosporn to help my hands heal.

My finger tips are always hard and crusty the next day, so after working on my car, I put some Neosporn on my fingertips and actually put it all over my hands and then use some Jergens. It helps your skin heal. If you work on customers cars from 9AM-6PM and then yours from 6PM-3AM, you will know exactly how dry your hands can get. On my spring break last month, I worked on my car all day from 9AM to about 1AM-2AM in the morning.

Simply put, all of owners know the hard work we put into our cars and when someone appreciates what you do instead of being a hater, it's always a nice thing....

Thanks man. I appreciate that but I would not put my build above anyone else, you know, out of respect and I have no intention to be cocky. I will leave that up to the viewers. :)

Self love, LOL!

idk, looks a bit shakey...didn't those JZ engines come with 'no shit' and twins? This looks suspicious... :p

Looking good Andy

Thanks guys.

Thanks for the info Fred, I will see if the local Pharmacy has it.

I missed a few bolts that need cleaning up so I will so that before dropping in the engine, thanks Dustin for pointing that out.

Only 2JZ's have the "no shit."

1JZ's got a half liter less and bad twins. :(

On Thursday before Memorial Day weekend, I finished everything I had to do on the motor. I went through each and every bolt to make sure nothing was left loose. I had to replace two knock sensor plugs and a cam sensor plug. I did that and then tested for continuity to make sure everything was connected. I had to do some more work on the engine bay such as routing the brake lines and fixing one line where I bent the fitting by mistake. I also rebuilt a caliper using the rebuild kit from Toyota since it was siezed up.

Friday, I looked over the motor and bought a few more fittings that I needed. Saturday I was going to drop in the motor but I did not have enough time since the shop was busy. On Sunday, my friend came over and helped me drop in the motor along with my brother.

On Monday, we installed the clutch and gearbox.

Tuesday, it took me six hours to route the harness through the hole behind the intake manifold and find a new spot to mount the ECU. I did end up keeping the stock location and modifiying the glove box to fit is as the harness was touching the much larger Mines ECU.

I then started to do all the little things such as routing wiring for the sensors for the Autometer gauges and cleaning all the grounding points and using dieletric grease on every plug. I installed the cooling system and heater hoses since I am not getting rid of the heating and A/C system. I also installed new O-Rings on the A/C tubes. I put the lines I had made for the wastegate on and wrapped wires in the heat tubing that I bought. The downpipe was also wrapped in heat wrap to keep down the heat. I still have a few more things to do since I started on the intercooler piping which was mounted up yestrerday and will start the piping this week since I am taking a Summer class.

I will be cleaning those rubbers pieces that run along the fenders, yes, they annoy me to.

I used flat star washers on the clutch fan. The battery tray will be painted as soon I go get some paint mixed up in the can. I tested for codes and there was one, 21, the 02 sensor circuit, I rewired the Mustang 02 Sensor and mixed up one of the three wires, fixed that and now no codes. :)
