how much would it take to have an 11 second supra on a 7m with a full interior. i really dont like the thought of gutting the interior, but this damn car is such a boat that it irritates me to hear my friend talk about these light ass cars with 4bangers pullin these impressive times. makes me feel like owning a supra is nothing special really. but it is! its a great car, but its so heavy!

JT62 And the mods to support it, and drag radials, and you should be in the
mid 11s. The JT62 makes 500+rwhp, and with 425rwhp I've seen people hit
12.10 so 75 more HP should get you deep into the 11s.

it will take many of thousands of dollars. i spent over 5000 in the past year just in mods. Maybe I just should of done a swap? But i love the 7m.

That is all.

Unless you put a 7M into a MK2, and I never considered it cheating, hehehe...

500HP in a 3000 pound car = 10's!

^^^^^^ This still applies though....

I saw a white Mk3 run mid to low 11's on Kuhmo Ecsta Supra's monted on sawblades. He wouldnt tell me what turbo he was running but it looked like something off ebay...nothing special. He also had a beefed up automatic.

Edit: full interior

My solution would be:
Bolt-on SP61GT- $1200
full exhaust- $750
Ebay intercooler with pipes- $400
550 cc injectors- $350, Walbro- $100
MAFT-pro-$500, boost gauge- $50
Clutch-$450, ETstreets- $300
Dyno tune- $150

=$4250. That should get you solid 11's with a good engine.

Most turbocharged cars do not have a stock turbo or fuel system with enough capacity to get them in the 11's. I can only think of 2, the EVO and MK4 supra. And they will only do that with lots of expensive supporting mods and crazy driving.

Hell Joliroger4 ran 11's with a 60-1. I have a friend install a wolf v400 and pull 11.5 on a junk yard motor, and a 67mm turbo. So it depends on driver and tuning. Without a good tune or a good driver it will never happen

I would have to see a video to believe that and WITH the tires up close. Otherwise I call BS. I have had experience on those crappy tires.

To be able to do this time and time again you'll need unlimited funding, no conscience, and the ability to be able to drive your car with no respect for it at all even if it means total and utter destruction. I'm with upgraded on the Cumonthehoe sexta rubber on squawblades hooking into the 11's. You'll need et streets or drag radials atleast.

there have been 2 guys so far try to "estimate" money-wise how much it will be to get a supra into the 11's. Those numbers are so far off, I've spent a lot of money on my car, and I'm still not there. They forgot all the little things that add up to be a lot of money and a lot of time. A built engine doen't mean $700 pistons. It means all the time if you do it yourself, and the machine work that goes along with that. Like boring and honeing is something like $100, plus getting your block decked is another $50-70. and if you need your crank turned thats more money. Plus shot peening your rods isn't done for free, and eagle rods are $475. all new gaskets (turbo gaskets, oil pan gasket, intake manifold gasket), all said and done probebly $100, not includeing a mhg $130 (which was left out). ARP hardware $175-200. Widebands $300-450, installed widband bung $40-50, suspension $600-$1000 (if yours is all wore out and soggy like mine), AFPR $250, oil catch can $85, some sort of bov $65 (if your cheap) $150 if your stubborn about quality. cams if you dare are $400-700. and if you really plan on running 11's, i doubt you're going to do it on a $450 clutch, im planning on getting a $700 hpf bronze. im not made of money, im 20 yrs old and a full time student at PLU. Im not pissing and moaning right now, but you gotta realize that there are a million unforseen expenses with our cars. however, done right you can have an 11 second car that you can ACCTUALLY DRIVE TO THE TRACK. if you are real determined on getting a cheap 11 second car, my neighbor bought a '72 nova with a small block in it. he had less than $4000 invested in that car. but he is still jelous of mine which is a low 14, high 13 second car. because i got good gas mileage, and turbo cars pull like raped apes...... ok.... ill get off my soap box now, but sit down and do a detailed budget, plan everything, and then double it...... just to be safe lol

STEPS:
1) Sell house/residence
2) Go to Chevy dealership
3) Buy Corvette
4) Go to racetrack:biglaugh:

5) meet up with 34535626 other whorevettes
6) enjoy the 50 grand u just spent on 400 horsepower or even worse 80 grand you just spent on 505, when you could have used it to make about 1000 at the wheels plus tons of other shit to make your car diffrent and something someone will actually look at in the parking lot rather then skip over because theres another 456342 of the exact same thing. :biglaugh: i give respect to cars people spend THERE OWN time building, not someone who just happen to have 70 grand laying around.

what im wondering if the same origional question, but without nitrous and on pump gas (93 octane) and drag radials.

i have about 3 grand into my car now, between machine work, ross pistons, MHG, arp head bolts, maft and wideband. now i need turbo and fuel. im thinkin itll take about another 3 grand to get what i would need to go 11's on pumpgas without nitrous on DR's.

figure 1500 for turbo, 350 for injectors, 500 for a 3k stall converter, 200 for massive IC, 200 for piping, and that leaves 250 for a pair of big 15's with big DR's.
